NitromorsAll Purpose Paint & Varnish Remover 750ml (196652)

I bought this as several people had recommended it, I'm restoring an old pine dresser and although I was using the Bartoline TX10 stripper I hoped I could find something more aggressive.For starters the seller had packaged this in a padded envelope and I think EVRi had used it for a quick game of footie, bubble wrapped in a box would've been a safer way to send this!The product is bogey green and is the consistency of thick wall paper paste with a chemical smell. After reading the instructions I slapped it on the dresser and almost immediately the old varnish started to bubble. When it came to scraping this off it had dried out so lots of mess was created and there were many sections where I had to reapply several times. In conclusion;Is it worth the extra money? No - according to the instructions this size of tin (750ml) is enough to do one door side so not cheap!Is it any better than the £5 bottle of Bartoline stuff from my local DIY shop? Also, no - if anything the Bartoline stuff is better because it stays as a gel and doesn't smell.Lesson learned, stick with what you know!
