It is very soft, flexible and of a good size to grasp and play with (approx 10inches/25.5cm). It’s a lovely companion to have when you’re reading the storybook to a child.It is only 2 textures - 1 of a soft fuzz and the other a silky cotton. Personally, I think that this is an opportune item to have satin ribbon and other fabrics for sensory input. However, if your child is overwhelmed by too many textures or crinkly noisy fabrics then this is a good option! There is no unexpected smells to the fabric.Unfortunately, there is no hanging ring to put on a rocker/crib, similarly no inner wire to wrap around a pram/buggy handlebar etc, which makes it for home-play only or with the hope that my baby doesn’t repeatedly throw it out of their seat for entertainment!

The Rainbow Designs Tiny & Very Hungry Caterpillar My First Soft Toy is so soft and very cute.At 25cm it is smaller than I was expecting it to be but it's still big enough to cuddle, especially for babies and toddlers.I love the design of the caterpillar as it has all of the characteristics of the classic character in the story but with some fun aspects like the rainbows which give it a nice touch.Whilst it has a few textures due to the way the toy is made it doesn't have as many as I'd have liked. I think this toy would've been ideal to add a rattle or some scrunching sound to enhance babies play but it doesn't and is simply a soft toy.Nevertheless this is an adorable toy and it is perfect for little fans of The Very Hungry Caterpillar story. I'm very pleased with this toy and the fantastic quality Rainbow Designs products provide.

We love reading the very Hungry caterpillar book, my youngest knows it off by heart.My sister is currently pregnant with her first child, so we have decided to make a baby hamper based around the very hungry caterpillar so this was the prefect gift to include.All new borns need a first soft toy, this one is so cute, unisex, decent size, so soft, so colourful and such high quality.Offers so many functions all in one toy from different textures, different colours everything a young child could dream off.

This plush is absolutely adorable and is based on the characters from the Very Hungry Caterpillar.The plush is a good size so it isn't too long for little ones. It is made up on multiple colours and the colours are nice and bright too.The plush is very soft to touch but still film and has really lovely details on it. The character is one I grew up with and I'm so happy to shear this with our little one.

I’d probably buy the board book of the story to pair with it for a gift.Bright and colourful in the same colours as the book, the material varies from soft velour to patterned cotton. There are additional ‘knobbly’ bits such as antennae for baby to chew or suck on and it’s got the official merchandise label and European CE mark. Maybe just me but I’d have liked maybe a section of the caterpillar to be a bit more sensory with maybe a crinkly or rattly part. It’s still a lovely first pal for baby though.

This is visually appealing and stimulates baby senses.There are antenna on the catapillars head, little tabs across the back and soft legs and feet for baby's fingers to find and play with.This is a lovely first toy and would make a lovely baby shower or newborn gift. It costs £14.99 which is as expected. Recommended
