Unflavored
Tastes terrible alone, but it's unflavored. You have to be creative with it. I added some chicken bullion and Himalayan salt. Perfect.

Worst Bone Broth I’ve Ever Bought!
This is the worst bone broth protein additive I’ve ever purchased. It clumps into a gummy mess, it doesn’t fully dissolve, even in boiling water, and the taste is beyond atrocious. It’s a waste of money, I will never buy it again and I will talk everyone I know out of buying it. Purchase at your own risk.

Easy Protein, Distinctive Flavor
Great to add to soups, sauces, rice, and any savory meal. The problem is that it has a slightly bitter distinct taste that I can taste in everything I add it to. Neither me nor my partner minds the taste too much, especially when weighed with the protein it adds, but it is something to think about. Also, make sure you get out all the clumps. Sometimes it takes a LOT to dissolve and you will find a dry clump or a protein paste lump!

for soups, stews and sauces
this is straight up boiled chicken bones. no seasoning whatsoever. have you ever sipped plain boiled chicken bone broth? yeah, bland and not tasty. and this is also NOT for mixing into smoothies (savory smoothie anyone?🤢🤮). I certainly never throw chicken in my blender with strawberries, blueberries or any other fruit. smh...on the label: good for adding to soups and sauces. I chose soup. it does have a very high salt content, so I started by adding by the tablespoon to approx 32oz boiled water and built up my flavor from there. adding mirepoix, umami, sasón and sage to taste made all the difference. that's really where I built such a good, comforting savory flavor.as long as you use this as a base to build savory, umami flavor on, it's a good value. looking to add to your sweet smoothies? swipe left, this isn't it.

The Worst Tasting Bone Broth Ever
I was quite excited when I saw this nice jug of Chicken Bone Broth. I love sipping a hot cup of bone broth for breakfast and lunch and I was pleasantly surprised to see Now Bone Broth contains 29 grams of protein in an 8 oz cup. What a sweet way to get more protein in my system I thought. I hurried and bought 2 jugs so I thought I was set for the next month. I even went to set it up as a subscription.I made me a huge 16 oz. Serving to start off with and I honestly think this may be the nasties more bitter product on plant earth. I am shocked that any taste tester at Now would say “You got it, that’s some mighty tasty bone broth Jim. We need to get this tasty and delicious product to the market because it’s going to be a hit.” I say this joking but this stuff will peel the paint off your walls so be careful. All I’m getting from this is I’m out more than $50 bucks. I tried to take it to the soup kitchen and was kicked out and ask never to return again especially since I was trying to poison the bums.Update: I didn’t want to waste my money so I experimented using a half serving of Now Bone Broth and a half serving on Lonolife Chicken Bone Broth. Lonolife Bone Broth is the best tasting bone broth ever and I learned if I would mix Now and Lonolife together than it changed the taste from horrible to very good. With Now you would get a lot more protein grams.

Not tasty.
I will likely not purchase again. I will have to either use solely to add protein to soups or casseroles or find some way to make it palatable on its own. I was hoping to use it for a savory protein boost (I don’t like sweet protein shakes and things all the time. I crave savory.), but this stuff doesn’t taste very good. Maybe if I seriously water it down??? If I can find a way to make it taste good and serve as a good standalone protein fix I will up my rating. My first time experience using it this morning was unappetizing. Tasted like a rotisserie chicken that had been left roasting until it turned to charred powder.

Adds hydration to my cats' diet
I can't speak to how it tastes, as I keep kosher and could not taste this product. I was looking for a way to add hydration to my cats' meals more affordably than using the overpriced broths made for cats. This product has no added flavorings, salt, or vegetables (some vegetables, such as garlic and onions, are toxic to cats). This is perfect. I got an 8 ounce container to make this in, and I add a bit to my cats' wet food in the can to soften it, and then pour a little around the side of their food in the bowl. They love it! The powder can be somewhat difficult to stir in, even into boiling water, but I got a cheap milk frother wand and that mixes it into the water very quickly.
