Baby Polar Gear Booster Seat

We used this booster seat for our 3 week holiday in Dubai and Malaysia. Our little girl is 9 months old (she is a tall girl) before we left but she has been sitting on her highchair at home to eat since she was 6 months old. So we were not overtly concerned but we never ever left her on her own in this seat strapped to a chair. She can be lively and get excited but never attempted to slip out nor try to push/kick or stand up. She does however know eating time is time to sit down and eat (well may well change in the next few months maybe!). Anyway wth the background, we have a very lightweight, well supported booster seat which fit onto most chairs that we have tried strapping it to. It is better if the chair has lower back support to give a better back support to the seat but if your child sits still and expect not to sit for long period, then it is ok as long as you keep an eye on it. Long period for us *maybe differ from you* is longer than 20 minutes. Easy to clean with damp cloth, doesn't leave a stain and very mobile. The seat doesn't sink down and for the price it is an excellent buy.

Light and sturdy, this is brilliant for when we're out and about, easy enough to carry along on the off chance we need to use it when out for a meal. Most places have high-chairs but on the odd occasion we've needed this it's worked a treat. Good for saving space in the car when visiting relatives who don't have a high chair.*EDIT*So, after a couple of years (and a couple of kids) use I'm re-assessing my original 5 star review, the buckles on this seat don't hold the straps anymore without slippage so you're constantly having to try and re-tighten mid-meals. If you have a fairly sedate child it shouldn't be too much of a problem but if your wee one is restless at the dinner table be very careful with this purchase. It's still a good seat and holds the wee ones securely to itself but the straps holding it securely to the chairs need improving to be a 5 star purchase.

This seat is great and generally works well since it can be simply and securely attached to any chair with a high back. Our son wriggles a lot and feeding him either requires two people (one to be the "chair" and one to feed) unless one has a high chair - or a travel chair like this when you're out and about.Other benefits is that it cleans easily, packs away simply, and has a handy carry handle.Only reason to rate as 4 stars is that there are other similar models which have a shoulder strap as well which is potentially a better model for younger babies than this one.

After a month or so of use it started to sag..seat pad is lopsided and baby is so uncomfortable when sat on it. Straps not adjustable and too loose for my one year old rendering it a real hazard. I have had to buy a new seat (plastic one this time).

The product itself I'm sure is fit for purpose although I never got round to needing to use it whilst on holiday and since it was still in it's packaging, I decided to return it (or at least try to). I arranged return of this item in the normal way, printed the returns label, re packaged the item and arranged for collection of the item through the courier service 'Yodel.' I don't know what other people's experiences of this company have been but mine has been awful. I have been given 4 different collection dates and the product has not been collected on any of them. I have just called Yodel (for the 5th time) and they assured me the problem had been escalated to a senior team leader who would call me back. I am still waiting. As a result of this, the item will not be back with Amazon by their stipulated date. I have also e mailed amazon to discuss this situation with them on 2 occasions and they have not returned my e mails either. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received and find this surprising of Amazon who I normally find to be very good. Very, very poor service.

Nice-looking, very lightweight, reasonably priced, wipe clean and folds into a neat bag you can carry over shoulder or hang off buggy. This has been a very good purchase, useful for restaurants without high chairs, when travelling abroad or to family and my daughter who is 2 years and 3 months can still easily fit in it. It secures easily to any size chair. I prefer this to any high chair. Of course, it does not have a feeding tray, but that is not necessary if baby is sat at table anyway. It comes with a little mat to protect chair too.

Quite good but sides rather flimsy sides and child could roll over the side even if strapped in. Be aware also that child can push against the table and fall backwards to better to place the chair between the table and a wall

Am very pleased with this seat as it was easily attached to a kitchen chair and was simple to clean. The adjustable straps made it easy to get the toddler in an out of the seat and enabled him to sit at the table to share his meals with us. It folds up into a very neat carrying pack and is ideal to take out to restaurants. Altogether very satisfied with the broduct and felt it was value for money.
