SO GOOD
This book was amazing! I usually don’t like reading but this really caught my attention. This book tells an amazing story also. Highly recommended!

Great for teens and pre-teens.
Bought this for my son because it felt very applicable to the somewhat toxic environment that many middle schools have unfortunately become. We both loved this book. Very well written, with genuine characters facing all too familiar problems. Highly recommend this one.

I was disappointed with the way the book ended
Bystander should be a must read for all middle school students. As a middle school teacher, I really thought this book hit home with its bullying theme and the way students can go from being an "in" to an "out" student in a matter of minutes. I was disappointed with the way the book ended, as it was lackluster like the author didn't have any ideas how to end it.

Good book, difficult read
This is a well written book, and one that should be read by a lot of middle school aged students. That being said, this is not a book I would let my child read (age 13) without some discussion of what's transpiring in the book. There are plenty of scenes of conflict, and while I think they portray accurately what can happen in today's middle and high school environments, I also think that they can be emotionally weighty on kids. I'd rate this one as worth letting your kids read...after you've read it first and are willing to discuss it with them.

I would highly recommend this book for future educators and their students
This novel is an eye-opening book for educators and students alike. Although the format is simplistic, the message is not: Bystanding is Bullying. This book forces readers to reflect upon their own experiences, and think about their actions in the future. Students in middle school would benefit from reading this novel because the main character is a young boy who struggles with relatable issues including peer pressure, friendship, and relocating. Overall, I would give this book five stars because it is both educational and exciting. I would highly recommend this book for future educators and their students.

Great book
Love the book in general, my first novel I’ve ever read. I read back when I was in middle school and I wanted to read it again.
