Works as good as the more expensive cables. But I didn't need it because the Exteral Hard Drive I got already had a cable.

Went searching locally for a new data cable after the one I was using to link my laptop to my Targus Docking Station started failing. Cable arrived in a timely manner however, I didn't connect it right away since the original cable seemed to be holding well. Powered my computer on this morning and lost connection to the other two monitors. Not a good day for that to happen. I changed out cables and was suddenly panic stricken. The cable was powering the keyboard connection to the laptop but I still didn't have the two monitors recognized. After a restart of my laptop everything is now working like a champ! Crisis averted. (On a side note, this cable is substantially cheaper through Amazon and arrived faster than Office Depot or Best Buy could offer.)

Cable doesn't work due to a fault; either open or short. I you wiggle the cable, the USB device disconnects. I live in a very rural/remote location, so it would cost me more than the purchase price to drive to the nearest UPS store to return it. I'll just eat the cost and order another cable from another supplier. Very poor quality control.

I guess it is just too long for the data rate. Using on high resolution microscope camera and it keeps coming up disconnected.

Will give away as gift. Ordered wrong cable. Needed 2.0, but by mistake ordered 3.0
