SOMETHING YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT MURALS: There are 3 ways to produce murals and here is how to recognize them. We will use a 12' wide by 8' high size as mural example. A- CHEAPEST PRICE: Usually 8 panels of 24" wide by 48" high. Panel 1 and 2 will be hung one on top of the other, 3 and 4 the same and so on. The panels are produced separately in large quantities so they cannot guarantee color match between panels. The substrate it is printed on is a thin low quality paper and has a tendency to stretch and to crease when you wet it therefore making it very difficult to match the designs (panels). The product is not pre-pasted. It is extremely difficult to remove. B- MEDIUM PRICE: What we do. They will come on 8 strips of 18" wide by 8' high and the last 1/4 inch of each strip is identical to the first 1/4 inch of the following strip so you overlap them to prevent any open seam when the paper dries. Installation is a lot easier for DIY customers. The strips are printed one after the other on the same run and each second strip is printed reversed to prevent color difference from side to side (shading). The product is pre-pasted. Just soak it in water. The substrate (non woven) is a robust and washable blend of paper and synthetic fiber (no PVC vinyl). Minimal bubbles when hanging that can easily be pushed out without damaging the substrate. The mural is easy to remove and you can reuse it. C- HIGH PRICE: They will come on 3 panels of 48" (1,22m) by 8' (2,44m) high on a heavy PVC vinyl. The substrate is a high quality heavy PVC vinyl or canvas. Installation should be done by a professional paper hanger. Low gloss to keep the image looking real and / or natural.
