This is a very well designed and assembled unit. Its ease of hook-up and operation is the very definition of easy. The installer is offered several choices of hooking up and all the requisite wires/cables are included in the equally well designed package. The sound was quite good using either the provided (wired) earbuds or (as I did) a (wired) connection with my Bose over the ear phones.I mention the (wired) characteristic on purpose. Once hook up of the base unit is completed the base unit sits nearby the TV. The user can then relax in a favorite TV viewing chair. (There is no wire between the user and base unit.)A receiver unit (about half the size of a deck of playing cards) can be held by the viewer - soon to be listener - with the convenient thumbwheel type volume control. Ear buds (or, as in my case, headphones) must be wired to the hand held receiver unit.Alas! I was seeking a unit that did not require wires from the ears to the receiver unit. I had the mistaken impression (entirely my fault for not reading more carefully!) that a Bluetooth connection could exist between my Bluetooth capable Bose headphones and the receiver unit.Subsequent to this discovery on my part I contacted the 'seller' and was pleased to receive a very timely, professional and courteous reply. I conceded that the product designers had several good points that they had to consider when weighing the value of Bluetooth connectivity. Foremost was that adding such a feature would add a level of complexity for the consumer - who may be of a older hearing impaired generation not comfortable with technology in general and wireless technology in particular.And, let me repeat: "It's ease of hook-up and operation is the very definition of easy."Accordingly, I made a gift of the unit to my older friend in need of such a device to 'save' his marriage! He and his wife are thrilled with the product and I enjoyed playing Santa a month before Christmas. And, of course, I continue my search for a 'wireless' product to best suit my requirements.Before closing I want to reiterate the absolute pleasure I had in discussing my needs and the unit with EarPanda's Founder, Mr. Theodore Z. His understanding and explanations combined with his super responsiveness and courtesy are truly wonderful. I suspect consumers of well designed and well constructed personal electronics equipment will hear more from his Company in the future. I certainly endorse both the quality of this EarPanda product and the integrity of the EarPanda Company.

Old headphone died. Tried 3 replacements and all were returned. They were not loud enough. ((GUESSING: Need volume output of 100dB to 120dB.)) Was losing hope. Then found these. Hallelujah!!! Can take hearing aids out (giving ears a rest), put on this headphone, and watch TV. After turning bass down had to turn volume DOWN. Was too loud for once. Side note: Plan to replace headset w/ something more sturdy and comfortable. But to repeat: base station is great.
