ATOM 3 Axis Gimbal 4K Drone, Pack of 1 Drone, No Battery and Accessory included

When the drone arrived I was very excited to get things charged up and begin to fly. This is not my first drone and I am certain will not be my last. I hold drones from multiple manufacturers. But I held special hopes for the Potensic Drone. I really needed the 4km distance that I ultimately did get. When I took it from the box and charged and launched it. I at first was amazed at the performance and ease of use. The drone controls are very “touchy” which means the drone reacts very well to inputs. Small moves with controls provide quick and responsive action from the drone. My first test was to just launch the drone and take it to the max ceiling which is 398 feet. My guess is the 2 feet under the legal air space was built in as a safety feature to not interfere with other craft. I then clicked it over into sport mode and went full throttle in whatever direction the drone was facing. My purpose was not to take photos or use the camera functions yet but to put the drone through its paces. So I held down full throttle until the remote informed me the drone has lost contact. When I looked, I found the drone was 2500 feet away from me. Disappointed, I waited… The drone remote stated that the drone was reacquired. I touched nothing as I wanted to see what the drone would do. So far it was following the height RTH I input and was on its way home. The drone returned and landed within 1 inch of its launch location. Very Impressive… Do not let the 2500 feet concern you. I know I am in an area with a great deal of interferences from cell towers and high power lines and the like. It was at this point when it landed that I realized it out performed my more expensive DJI drone. This only makes little more then half that distance in MY interfering own environment. I then took the Potensic Drone to an open field scenario which had a large body of water next to it. I then flew the drone and performed that same test. This time the drone went nearly 10,000 feet distance. I wish to add I purposely flew the drone half that distance over water. Making sure the drone maintained its height. At NO POINT did I have to adjust the drone when it entered over the water skies above. It maintained proper altitude. I believe due to the water being a two mile wide area the drone lost connections at that point. I nervously waited as I wanted to see if the drone would, on its own do what it was designed to do when it’s lost which is return home. I did not have to wait long. The remote informed me within a minute it reacquired the drone and it was on its way home. I noted the drone did not dive or dip down due to water confusing its sensors. The drone maintained its performance and once again came back and landed at my feet safely. Greatly Impressed! I started recording over the water various ships passing and the trees along the shore line. Since I only had my phone screen as reference at this point I knew the real results will show on my 4K monitor and TV once I get home. After confirming all the drones functions and battery performing within expected designs I returned home and removed the memory card. My memory card is a high quality Lex card designed for recording in 4K modes and handle that much data writes per second and I was looking to see if the drone missed or glitches in any recordings. I was very pleased to discover the drones camera did indeed record in 4K with no issues and I found myself more lost in the beauty of the videos and ships. Needless to say I was very impressed with quality of the images. Very Important Things to Note: If you open the drone and charge it up and just take off in your home town without knowing what surrounds you as interferences, do not expect to achieve the same results I have. Like any drone in any small town anywhere in the world it will perform but needs a clean environment to do so. Meaning if you have water towers with 4G and 5G waves coming off it or your town has high power lines I would expect to only have half of the 4K in such an environment. This is why I took it to a location to run the drone through its paces without interruptions. Do not let your own home town performance be your “only” factor as to whether or not this is a quality drone. For this price range I found the drone had exceeded my expectations and am happy to add it to my collection of drones. The drones built in features such as follow and circle and map out way points worked without any issue. The drone did take a small getting used too with its gimbal but not a deal breaker to me. I spoke with Potensic customer service in depth especially during my in home town trials. They provided me with the information I expected which I already stated in this review regarding the all over WIFI interferences. I was seeking a way to push the drone harder in my home town. They were very patient with me as I sent all my flight record to them. The very next day they already replied to provide me the informational results of my logs. That the drone encountered my home towns’ high wire interference and WIFI blasts from all directions. They also noted the flight record of the water test showing that it was a much cleaner surroundings and the drone was able to perform as advertised. The customer support did not miss ONE day as I daily asked a question or two and they always had a 24 hour turnaround time on any questions. Overall I will happily provide the Drone a full 5 Stars as well as the patient customer support team a full 5 stars as I know I can be very diligent and hard in my tests of a new drone and its support team. I hope this review helps anyone on the fence, I would buy this drone if given the choice all over but I am saving for one of their more advanced drones now that I know the quality of the Potensic Drone SE version.

This thing is AWSOME! My first drone and I suck at video games but it's really easy to fly....that said I did crash it....hit a building lol. Im ordering another one now because it is soo fun!!

It's a good drone, easy to fly and perfect for beginners of just someone that wants to have a drone for no professional purposes. However, I noticed sometimes it gives me a camera sensor error and also, I had a problem where the engine was oversaturated and the drone fell off, I contacted support and they told me that according to the logs the drone crashed, which was not true. But overall it is a good drone.

The Atom 3 is fantastic! Crystal-clear photos, smooth video, great flight time, and super responsive controls. Easy to fly and feels very high quality. Great drone for the price! Recommend the buy more fly more kit. Worth the $$$$& Has survived a number of Crashes! Incredible little drone! “User error” I own 4 of these and they are all still fully operational. Used 4x a week for 2 years! About 2 hours a day!

My Atom SE literally was blown away from me during its last flight, and I was unable to find it. Ordered the Atom 3 and photographically the difference between the two was great! So far, no flight or wind problems with this one. The Axis Gimal makes a huge difference in keeping the horizon straight and the images look sharper side to side and top to bottom.

This video is from my Potensic Atom 3-Axis Gimbal that I just received. The 3-Axis Gimbal is a game changer for this drone, it takes very nice videos and pictures. I originally received a Potensic Atom SE for a Christmas present in December of 2023. I used it quite a bit and I was pretty happy with it until the last firmware update. After the update if I did not calibrate the compass every time I turned it on and flew the drone, it would immediately crash upon hovering off the ground. Usually the drone will prompt you before you fly to calibrate the compass if it requires it but after the firmware update it would not always prompt me . So I contacted Potensic customer service and they were very responsive after my email the next morning. They wanted my flight logs on the Atom SE which is completely understandable, but unfortunately I reinstalled the Potensic app thinking that would correct my crashing problems and in doing so it deleted all my flight logs. But we came upon an agreement which satisfied me and now I have the Potensic Atom 3-Axis Gimbal model. So far it is a big improvement in image quality, the 3-axis gimbal really produces great pictures and video. The video attached was taken on a fairly windy day (7mph with higher gusts). I am very impressed with the drone and the company.

USA buyers beware. I bought the Potensic 3 fly more combo, thank goodness I read more before I flew it... Because this drone wasn't approved by the US government, it technically has no business being sold here.... And I'm no bootlicking legal eagle, I don't care about the law most of the time, but this means that if you ever need any sort of replacement parts, repairs, or warranty service on your drone, finding those things will be much, much more difficult. If you know that you buy the drone as a disposable object, knowing that WYSIWYG, and that finding said parts will be hard, well, be my guest. But I don't want to deal with the government finding ways to call me some sort of domestic terrorist, so I sure won't be flying this drone here. I'm giving it 5 stars, though, because I don't want to be a dick and ruin any potential sales they could have with people in other countries. At the end of the day, I don't really know if this drone is great or awful.

I would not recommend this drone. It was defective out of the box and Potensic customer service refused to refund me for it. I did not even have it for one full day before trying to initiate a refund. It is also extremely flimsy and low quality.

This is my second Atom. The summer picture is taken with the SE and the winter photo is taken with the Atom. Not too many flights yet with the Atom, but it performs great flights like my SE. So far so good, I double check to be sure the battery is clipped in, make sure home point is refreshed before flying away and that you have at least 12 satellites. So for so good and very happy with the Potensic customer service! A+

⏱️🏃Resumen para impacientes Tras utilizar anteriormente el Potensic ATOM 2, este ATOM 3 me parece un salto importante, especialmente en calidad de imagen y autonomía. El nuevo sensor ofrece mejores resultados, el comportamiento en vuelo sigue siendo muy estable incluso con viento y el conjunto transmite una sensación de producto más maduro. También incorpora mejoras prácticas que se agradecen, como una base de carga mejor ventilada, un protector mucho más completo para el estabilizador y las hélices, y un bolso de transporte claramente mejor diseñado. No todo es perfecto. Durante la configuración inicial, con el dron encendido sobre el suelo, alcanzó una temperatura elevada que incluso impidió actualizar el programa interno hasta dejarlo enfriar. Además, conviene saber que el mando PT 2 no es el mando que incorpora pantalla (PTD 2), por lo que es imprescindible utilizar un teléfono móvil conectado. ✈️ Reseña completa El Potensic ATOM 3 pertenece a la categoría C0 al pesar menos de 250 gramos, lo que facilita su uso respecto a drones de mayor peso, aunque eso no significa que pueda volarse sin cumplir la normativa. En España sigue siendo obligatorio informarse bien antes de despegar. En este caso, al tener cámaras, hay que registrarse como operador de UAS, respetar las zonas restringidas, mantener siempre el dron dentro del alcance visual y cumplir el resto de obligaciones establecidas por la normativa vigente. Puede parecer algo complejo al principio, pero una vez entendido el proceso se disfruta mucho de las increíbles imágenes que tomas y además con la tranquilidad de saber que cumples con la normativa, evitandote multas con ello. En mi caso vengo de utilizar el Potensic ATOM 2, así que las diferencias se aprecian enseguida. 📷 Calidad de imagen (9,3/10) El cambio más evidente está en la cámara. El nuevo sensor de mayor tamaño ofrece una mejora visible en detalle, rango dinámico y comportamiento en situaciones de iluminación complicada. El vídeo 4K a 60 imágenes por segundo y el HDR aportan un resultado muy atractivo para un dron de este tamaño. Las fotografías de alta resolución también ofrecen margen para recortar la imagen sin perder demasiado detalle. Evidentemente sigue existiendo una diferencia respecto a drones bastante más caros, especialmente con poca luz, pero dentro de su segmento el resultado me parece muy competitivo. 🛫 Vuelo y estabilidad (9,5/10) Una de las cosas que más me ha sorprendido es su estabilidad. Incluso con bastante viento no he tenido ningún problema para mantener vuelos seguros y obtener grabaciones fluidas. No he podido comprobar el alcance anunciado de 16 km, ni creo que tenga demasiado sentido hacerlo en España, ya que la normativa obliga a mantener el dron dentro del alcance visual del piloto. Conviene recordar que esas cifras publicitarias se obtienen en condiciones ideales y no representan un uso real. 🔋 Autonomía (9,5/10) La autonomía sí supone una mejora clara respecto al ATOM 2. Las baterías duran más y permiten realizar vuelos bastante largos sin la sensación de tener que aterrizar continuamente. En este paquete con tres baterías resulta fácil completar una sesión fotográfica o de grabación sin prisas. 🎮 Mando y aplicación (8/10) Es importante fijarse en la versión incluida. Este modelo incorpora el mando PT 2, que no dispone de pantalla integrada. Para volar es necesario conectar un teléfono móvil. La conexión ha funcionado correctamente, pero conviene saberlo porque puede generar confusión con otros mandos de la marca que sí incorporan pantalla pero con un precio bastante más elevado. 🧳 Accesorios y diseño (9,5/10) Aquí también hay bastantes mejoras respecto al modelo anterior. Me ha gustado especialmente el nuevo protector del estabilizador y de las hélices. Sustituye al antiguo sistema basado en una cinta con velcro por una pieza mucho más sólida y protectora. Además, permite acceder tanto a la tarjeta microSD como al puerto de carga sin necesidad de retirarlo. La estación de carga también ha mejorado gracias a unas aberturas que favorecen la ventilación durante la carga. El bolso de transporte está muy bien resuelto. El sistema de doble cremallera resulta cómodo y la incorporación de pequeños imanes en la solapa evita que quede abierta mientras se manipula, un detalle sencillo pero muy práctico. Como curiosidad, el protector de hélices que compré para el ATOM 2 sigue siendo compatible con este modelo, aunque las baterías y las hélices ya no lo son. 🌡️ Aspectos mejorables El único problema que he encontrado ha sido durante la primera configuración. Mientras el dron permanecía encendido sobre el suelo para ver y configurar el programa interno, aumentó bastante su temperatura hasta mostrar un aviso indicando que no podía empezar con la actualización debido a la alta temperatura del dispositivo (hay que tener en cuenta que ha sido durante la ola de calor de Julio 2026. Una vez despega, este problema desaparece porque el flujo de aire generado durante el vuelo ayuda a refrigerarlo, por lo que parece un comportamiento relacionado con permanecer mucho tiempo encendido sin volar. Aun así, es un aspecto que Potensic podría mejorar. 💶 Relación calidad-precio (9/10) Dentro de este rango de precio me parece una propuesta muy sólida. Frente a otros modelos de la competencia ofrece una calidad de imagen muy elevada, buena autonomía, un vuelo muy estable y un conjunto de accesorios bastante completo. Eso sí, conviene tener presente que no incorpora sensores para evitar obstáculos, una característica que algunos compradores pueden echar de menos y que sigue siendo una diferencia importante respecto a modelos bastante más caros. 📊 Valoración por apartados - 📷 Calidad de imagen: 9,3/10 - 🎥 Vídeo: 9,4/10 - ✈️ Estabilidad de vuelo: 9,5/10 - 🔋 Autonomía: 9,5/10 - 🎮 Mando y aplicación: 8/10 - 🧳 Accesorios: 9,5/10 - 🛠️ Calidad de construcción: 9,2/10 - 💶 Relación calidad-precio: 9/10 ⭐ Valoración global: 9,2/10 Es una evolución clara respecto al ATOM 2 y, tras utilizar ambos, considero que las mejoras son reales y apreciables. La cámara, la autonomía y varios detalles de diseño justifican el cambio. No es un dron perfecto y todavía tiene margen de mejora, especialmente en la gestión de la temperatura durante determinadas operaciones en tierra y en la ausencia de sensores para evitar obstáculos, pero en conjunto me parece un producto muy equilibrado y una opción muy recomendable para quien busque un dron C0 con muy buena calidad de imagen y una experiencia de vuelo satisfactoria.

Drone very easy to fly and the controller is user friendly. When flying it's very stable and also in quite breezy weather. I had a slight problem with my sd card not not being recognised even though it was the correct one, I contacted Potensic services after a couple of emails they sent me one of theirs problem solved. If you want a drone don't hesitate to purchase one of these, the service you get from Potensic is excellent I would certainly recommend this one.

El Potensic Atom 3 es uno de los mejores drones ultraligeros que se pueden adquirir en España. La principal característica es que pesa 249 gramos, por lo que la legislación es mucho más laxa que con los drones que pesan más. No hay más que entrar en la página correspondiente para hacerse operador de Drone, y puedes volarlo en prácticamente cualquier sitio en el que no haya aglomeraciones de gente. Respecto a las características del Drone, he tenido la posibilidad de salir a probarlo y me ha parecido muy estable incluso con algunas ráfagas de viento el gimbal hace que la permanezca completamente estable. En España puede alejar más de 500 m el Drone ni perderlo de vista tampoco subir más de unos 100 m de altura por lo que el Potensic entra perfectamente dentro de este rango. En en la app se puede ajustar que no se aleje más para cumplir con la legislación. La cámara es una pasada hace unas fotos y unos vídeos espectaculares. El control es bastante sencillo. El vídeo es muy estable. Se retransmite al móvil y se ve perfectamente y los modos de día aunque aún debo explorar los más son muy divertidos para poder jugar con el Drone y que te siga o que dé vueltas alrededor tuyo o que se aleje rápidamente incluso tiene la opción de hacer un giro tres 60 en el aire. El pack viene con tres baterías, por lo que tienes bastante tiempo de vuelo y el cargador puede cargar las tres baterías a la vez lo que me parece un puntazo. A destacar que para grabar vídeo o fotos hace falta una micro SD no incluida de una velocidad alta en caso contrario solo te deja hacer fotos no te permite grabar vídeo.
