I found this book both interesting and very enlightening regarding the essential truths of the universe and our place as individuals in the eternal plan. In reading "A Rational Theology" one must be willing to separate oneself, concentrate and ponder on what John A. Widtsoe has to say. In my experience as an elderly person, I believe the most important statement he makes is that true joy is found through living correct principles while we are in mortality. I believe this is the most important book written during the 1900's.

A masterpiece that lays out a logical explanation for the universe. It seems arrogant to say though. In any event I feel this sews together the great truths found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We exist, God exists, we must love him and each other.

A good summary of the some of the beliefs of the Latter-day Saints. Worth your time if you want to know more about a rising religion world-wide.

Elder Widtsoe covers the beliefs of the LDS church with more detail and depth than we often do today. It was an enjoyable and easy read.I recommend the book to anyone interested in LDS beliefs and don't forget the appendix where Elder Widtsoe gives the scriptural references for all of the topics.
