Love this series
This series is so good. Book 1, about Lucas and Gabriel, was darker and heavier than this one, and while I really liked it, I enjoyed this book more. Conner and Jamie are very sweet together, and their relationship's arc from friends to sparks flying is very satisfying. Jamie and his blushes will steal your heart, and Conner's depth and vulnerability will surprise you. Together, they're perfect for each other. It was great to see glimpses of Lucas and Gabriel happy and doing well together after knowing what they went through to get there in book 1.I can't wait to see who the next couple is. Ezra certainly intrigues me, and I hope he's somewhere on the roster. Henry could also be a possibility. Regardless, I know I'll be reading it.If I have one complaint, or gripe, about anything, I wish these stories didn't end so abruptly. They feel abrupt to me anyway, mostly because I'm totally not ready to say goodbye when they end. An epilogue would be fantastic, but I guess the book following the story is an epilogue of sorts. While you don't need to read in order, I'd recommend it.Free Fall:#1 Touch the Sky (Lucas and Gabriel)#2 Chase the Sun (Conner and Jamie)

Beautiful read - lighter themes than book 1
Another beautiful and well written romance by these authors. This book didn't have the darker, trigger-inducing themes as the first book, so made for a lighter read. We know Connor from book 1, colleague to Lucas. Lucas had always wondered about Connor's preferences, and this book showcases who Connor truly is, and the fears and confusions he has from growing up the way he did.Jamie, on the other hand, has always known who he was and what his passion was - cars, especially the classics. After helping restore the car Connor's deceased uncle left for him, he agrees to drive it to Connor in California as a way to get out of town for a while, experience something different and escape the growing tension between his parents. Neither him nor Connor could have expected his visit to turn out the way it did.The story is told from alternating POVs, allowing us to get inside both of our MCs heads and experience what they were going through their connection is honest and beautiful to read, and I loved that they didn't rush to make a commitment but gave themselves time to work through things and discover what they really wanted in life. That Connor also got some closure with his parents was also great to read.Another book I would recommend, and I look forward to reading Ezra's story

Audible Review
4.5*- I don't normally listen to books that I haven't read already, but I took a chance with this one and now I really want to go back and read it!Audible review:Overall 4*Performance 4*Story 5*"Opposites attract in the best way!"What did you love best about Chase the Sun?I loved the story! I loved how both Conner and Jamie really "found" themselves during the course of the book. I loved their easy friendship and the way they were able to pick right up with each other, even without having seen each other in years. And it wasn't awkward when things moved out of the friendship zone- it was just another facet to their relationship.Who was your favorite character and why?I liked Conner and Jamie equally. They are so different and I really enjoyed getting to know them both.Have you listened to any of Tyler Stevens and Iggy Toma ’s other performances before? How does this one compare? This was my first book narrated by either of them, but I'll definitely be looking for more! Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?Not to spoil anything, but when they were at the cabin and Conner opened himself up to Jamie. And when he went home to Oregon and had the sit down with his parents- I'm so happy that happened.Any additional comments? This is the second book in the series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone. But I will be going back to read about Lucas and Gabriel!
