Most Excellent!
So, some background. Traditionally I'm not much for camping. The Blair Witch Project really ruined it for me. But about 10 years ago I did get into motorcycling. This year I wanted to get more involved is some organized rallies, most of which involve camping. So I broke down and got a tent and all kinds of gear. When it comes to motorcycle camping, size and weight matter. For the GGOV Sleeping Pad, it is really too heavy for motorcycle camping or extended hiking. BUT, if you are a normal person who does smart things like take a vehicle to camp, this pad is amazing! Over the past few months I've used camping cots and inflatable sleeping pads. They were all lightweight and compact, and only vaguely comfortable. I'd started to think this was as comfortable as primitive camping got, but I was wrong. The GGOV is super easy to set up. You literally open two valves at the bottom, wait a minute or so for it to completely inflate, and then close the valves. Boom, you're done. The pad itself is very comfortable by camping standards. I tried laying on my back, side, and stomach and it was great in every position. I never hit the ground through the pad, something my other pads did whenever I was side-sleeping. It's about 80% as comfortable as my bed, and I favor comfortable beds. In testing it in the house I actually feel asleep.Packing it away is a little more involved. Because it is self-supporting the pad is thicker and more effort is needed to pack. Even with that, we're only talking a couple minutes. You open the valves, start rolling from the head of the pad, and continue till you get to the bottom and close the valves. Because it is much stiffer than most inflatable pads you'll need to roll a bit, use your knees to keep hold, and roll a bit more. It's not hard, but is a process. It folded to about 12 inches in diameter and a width of about 27 inches. Because of its design it can't be folder sideways on itself to shorten the folded size, and that means it takes more length to transport. The storage bag is at least twice as loose as is needed since it rolls to about a foot, so I used some adjustable straps to hold it together for storage. While it is too long and heavy for motorcycle camping, it is ideal for normal-people camping. Should I ever convenience my wife to camp with me I'll definitely bring this. Not that I'll get to use it, but she'll be comfortable and grateful. While it's a bit pricy at $90, it's at least that comfortable, and really more. Strongly recommend.

Self inflating memory foam sleeping mat is saving my sleep.
This is the ONLY thing that keeps my kids out of my bed. I set it up on the floor next to my bed and suddenly every night instead of being woken by a foot to MY face, I'm accidentally stepping on a child on my floor, on the way to get another crying child back to sleep. The kids can't be returned at this point as I've had them well past the return window, but this sleeping pad has a permanent home with me! I'll never get tired of NOT having a kid sleeping in my bed, so if this mattress pad is comfy enough to keep them happy on the floor I'll just make my whole floor out of them. I also use it for yoga, meditation, physical therapy, and camping, and at age 33 I can say with confidence that this mat won't hurt my body any worse than my own bed does. It's also pretty big, which is nice! It rolls up and stores about the same as any yoga mat, but inflated and laid flat it's large enough for an average adult to sleep with a little room. I love it. Thank you for this mat.

Comfy but VERY bulky
This is definitely not for the backpack camping I initially bought it for. By the time you roll it up it took up most of the backpack. On the other hand, if you are not worried about limited space, The self inflated feature worked great and it’s very comfortable.

GGOV Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad for Camping - Game Changer!
The media could not be loaded. Total game changer. I could practically hear angels singing the first time I opened this beauty. This is lightyears ahead of the squeaky, inflatable mat I'd been using. I can't test the R-value, but it is obviously superior to anything else I have. We are serious campers, spending a week+ without running water or electricity. I used to layer an expensive brand-name foam mat with an inflatable mat, but this one does the job of both without the squeaky noise and is much more insulating. Even the “pillow” is comfortable but not too high that I can't still use my camping pillow. I have since tried another “self-inflating” mat that was not nearly as robust. THIS is my new standard for comfort and quality. I’m thinking about getting one for my best friend for Christmas so she won't be jealous when she sees mine next year. This is honestly comfortable enough that I wouldn’t mind sleeping on it if, say, my parents were to visit (I would gladly give them my room and sleep on this in the living room.)

Bulky but comfortable
This is one of the largest and heaviest camping pads you'll see around. As one of the other reviewers noted, this is strictly a car camping pad not a backpacking pad. It does insulate you very well from the ground, not cold like an air mattress or very thin pad can be.It did self-inflate, mostly, after several minutes. At self-inflated level it's more of a soft cushion to sit on, but you'll sink down onto the rocks underneath. Like just about every other "self-inflating" pad a few extra puffs of air are needed to firm it up.Two big pluses: it is LONG -- if you've had your feet dangle off the end of other pads, they won't off of this one. And it has the pillow top. Most pads don't, and you have to either bring an extra-tall pillow to make up for putting your pillow on the ground beyond the mat, or give up several inches of pad length. The biggest minus is deflating it. They do provide a huge storage bag, about twice the size of the already-huge bag that this ships in, and it fits easily into that bag. But it takes a ton of weight and effort to squeeze the air out; folding rather than rolling the pad mades it harder to get the air out; and it vigorously attempts to reinflate and unfold itself as soon as you let go of it. Be fast getting the straps on it to hold it in check!
