I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He actually doesn’t even need to put it in the fridge or freezer. Just as is, it cools his espresso down enough to drink it.

I tried making espressos with and without the ball. The one made with the ball was a bit ‘smoother’ but the downside is that the resulting coffee will be cooler than usual. So, if you can tell a difference in the taste and don’t mind a brew that’s not piping hot, by all means go for it. Otherwise, stick to your usual routine. The ball would need to be cleaned and frozen after every use.

Works great. There was a noticable increase in sweetness. Would be cool if they sold a countertop chiller to keep it cold

If you use a espresso machine that makes let’s say less than 5oz this don’t work well as it kills the temp. But if you have a machine or pour more than 5oz then it works good. I suggest to make 10-14oz for the ideal temp to drink and sense all the notes it brings out.Also, make sure you not using a dual spout as it’ll miss the ball.

It works pretty well for cooling espresso for an iced coffee, so it doesn't melt and dilute as much when you add the ice. I'm not sure the "hook" is all that useful though and the cut is a bit sharp. It would be nice if the legs had a silicone sleeve to protect the cup and also give you something non-frozen to grab.
