Just-in-Time Algebra and Trigonometry for Calculus
J**.
Good review of mathematics needed for basic calculus
Get this book if you want to tackle basic calculus and you forgot or never learned the foundation provided by high school algebra and trigonometry.

Well done!
Very well put together and easy to follow. One warning, this is not a book to learn algebra and trig. It is for brushing up on the math that you already know. For the serious math student. Excellent.

Really good!
I went through most if the chapters with a rather thorough approach to all of the exercises. It helped me remember things I learned years ago but had forgotten. Also I learned new things which I had not seen before or perhaps had really forgotten 😂. I worked through the chapters for about 2 hrs. early each morning. Started early Septemper 2021 and finished late January 2022. Some problems took me several days and a lot of paper to figure out but they were quite enjoyable to work through. I found no mathematical or typographical errors in the text. My goal eventually is to understand Maxwell’s equations and “Just in Time” is my first step on this path. I am 63 yo btw.

I went from "probably going to fail or drop calc" to earning a low A on the first exam because of this book.
I'm 38 and I want to get my MBA, but I didn't take Calc in undergrad and the school I want to attend requires Calc as a prerequisite. I took precalc in undergrad but just didn't get around to Calc I because it wasn't required for my major. So, I'm "the old guy" in my Calc class. After the first dayy of class, I was genuinely concerned that I'd fail and, as a result, not be able to do the MBA program. So much algebra and trig! Serious high school math. Thankfully, I noticed an ad for Just-In-Time Algebra and Trig in the front of my Calc book. I ordered the book from Amazon, did the first several chapters right away and then did a few more chapters here and there over the next few weeks. I just had my first Calc exam last week and guess what? I got a low A on the exam. And I thought I was going to fail!If my story sounds anything like yours, just get the book and do the work. Good luck!

For College Calculus I
I ordered this book because it was recommended by my teacher. However, I haven't really used it as of yet because so far it has been review from last year and I haven't had to consult it. It might be a great book, I just don't know yet.

Errors in the solutions sections
A very good book that covers many of the topics I needed to brush up on to dive more deeply into Calculus. The odd number solutions are my only issue. It would be nice if they had the steps to get there on more complex answers, but the main issue is when the answers obviously are for the wrong problems. Section 10.1 is clearly messed up. They're 21 word problems (great), but the solutions to 7 through 13 are completely non-sensical. There are no answers for 15,17,19, and 21. I recommend the author/publisher post an errata page on a web site with the right solutions and advise with a comment here for those of us who own and value the book as a resource. This was a very odd issue to come across in a 4th edition. ,ol, Thank you.

Great book to refresh my math skills before going back to school..
I needed a book to catch up on rules of algebra and trig, and test myself. So far the book has been a great choice, it cuts to the chase and gives you all the rules you need to remember. Most things I remembered but some details I needed to refresh, plus there are problems at the end of each little section which is super helpful. If you want a refresher to help brush up your skills or just to learn math in an easy way, this book is for you.

Great book. The format is very easy to understand and follow along with. This book is for anyone who is taking precalculus or calculus or for people who just want to improve their algebra and trigonometry skills. Amazing book.
