Interesting!
Unlike tell all books written today, this book is written by one of Hollywood's best lawyers from a less salacious point of view. You get a good look at historic legal cases from the lawyer involved, however it is a smooth read for those of us who are not law school graduates!

Bit Dated But that is Part of the Charm
Guy was involved with a lot of big cases back in the day in LA and represented a huge number of movie stars and others. Boatloads of cases from the golden era of movies. Worth reading if you are a defense attorney junkie like me. Interesting approach to the law. Not all ego. Took a more low key but effective way of trying cases

***Interesting But No New Ground***
If you are a budding lawyer this could help. Mr Giesler goes to great extends explaining why he does some things the way he does. There are some side stories about how he got some defendants off, usually by finding errors and having it retried through appeals. The theme seems to be when all else fails......appeal. If you have the money one can always take it to the Supreme Court and by that time it gets dumped into the 'forgotten files' locally.

Five Stars
great book. Jerry Giesler was a top lawyer, in part because he served an apprenticeship with Earl Rogers.
