The Damascus pattern doesn't extend all the way to the edge, so if anything it's just ornamental. The fit and finish of the knives is good, but not quite what I'd expect for the price. There are some minor cosmetic flaws with the block and some of the knives. One has some small spots on the edge of the blade, potentially rust starting to form. The inlays on the handles aren't unique to this company. They've been appearing in a lot of different Chinese brands recently. The edges on the blades are surprisingly good. Mine came "shaving sharp" (yes, I did test them by shaving).
