Woody's Cook-in' Sauce Barbecue Concentrate 13oz

Best that I have found for Pulled Pork!
This marinade is so favorable. I inject pork shoulders with this, and the hickory flavor is wonderful. I am not a fan of apple/vinegar marinades. It is pricy but it is one of those products that make the grade. Buy it and give it a try. I think you will like it. Peace.

Woody's is the bomb
Anyone that's used Woody's already knows this, but it is just the most Kick-Ass concentrated Mesquite or hickory flavored goodness to use as a base for anything barbecue or beefy. It's not a barbecue sauce that you would pour on something, it's a concentrate. A tablespoon of this goes a really long way flavor-wise.I think a big tribute to how great this sauce is comes from how there was a shortage during Katrina ( I think this is made in the New Orleans area? , I could verify that with Google but it would require another thumb and I don't have the energy right now ).I think that caused this sauce to go off the market, or hard to come by, for a year or more.So people online were getting frantic trying to share their own recipes, trying to reproduce the flavor, so this ain't no joke, this is the real deal.I have always judged any barbecue place on their in-house sauces and have often found that too many go towards the sweet variety, but I like a spicy Tangy vinegary kind of thing personally. So just because I feel like giving, here's my recipe using Woody's as a primary ingredient.I looked at a few recipes online to see what basic ingredients were used, took a general approach and suit together my own combination of those ingredients plus a little bit of this and that, and of course some Woody's. I was really pleased that the very first attempt was really the barbecue sauce that I imagine having when I walk into any barbecue place, so I think I accidentally hit the bullseye with this, your mileage may vary..BBQ Sauce1 cup apple cider vinegar1/2 cup water2 tbsp bourbon, Maker's 46 in this case1 tbsp Woody's Cook'in Sauce1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp Cholula2 tbsp soy sauce6 ounces tomato paste1/2 cup brown sugar1 tbsp ground mustard1 tbsp chili powder2 tsp black pepper1 tsp onion powderPut all ingredients in a medium saucepan stir wellSlowly heat to Boiling or just under boiling while stirring constantlyLower heat to a low simmer and cover vented for 15 minutesRemove from heat, and leave covered to coolMakes just over two cups

Best ever
I’ve used Woody’s for years. It is very concentrated so a little goes a long was. My favorite thing is to add a couple of tablespoons to baked beans. It gives them such a great flavor. Very good also on roasted chicken. Makes it taste like it spent some time on a grill. NOT sweet which is why I like it, just try to find a bbq sauce that doesn’t have a ton of sugar in it these days, impossible.
