Financial Mathematics For Actuarial Science: The Theory of Interest [Hardcover] Wilders, Richard James

A great book for aspiring actuaries! My favourite thing about this text is that it reads more like a study manual rather than a traditional textbook. You'll also find it helpful that Wilders teaches you how to use the worksheets of the BA II Plus calculator as well as using Microsoft Excel to construct amortization schedules and the like. With this being the first edition there are quite a few typos, but nothing major. The book was clearly made for those preparing for the Society of Actuaries Exam FM. However I'm studying under the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and have found the book to be extremely useful.

It explains the concepts in a clear way.
