Really worth the money.
Great mackerel rod, great lure rod,,,,, gives a very good cast to get mackerel float out there using only a 1oz. lead, dont buy a cheapo mackerel rod, get this rod it will last a long time, and its s light as a feather. Was using this with 40 yr old abu 6500 c multiplier.

Great rod
It is an ugly stick I am using to replace one I broke. Kinda strange paying more for the rod than you paid for the reel. They work and I was heartbroken when I realized I had broken one of them. Bought a poor replacement at a fish shop just not a good one at all.

Nothing like the photos shown
Not used it yet! But looks nothing like the one shown when buying it! Not even sure if the top half of the rod is even ugly stik No red wrap around the eyes on top half as shown on pictures when buying Butt end different too

This is my "everything" rod, I have used it for everything from small sea bass, to large bass, bonitos on casting jigs, little tunny, small mahi mahi and every other predator I can put a lure in front of, casts amazing when paired with 20 or 30g lure, nice and sensitive and the typical ugly stik bent that won't quite when you are tight
