I find them easier to write with as there is little friction. Don't last too long with regular use but worth it for the smooth writing experience.

My massive stash of Uniball pens was starting to drop so I need to order some more. Found these UB-157s on Amazon. Price was a little steep compared to what I usually pay, but the photo showed them in official packaging etc so I took the plunge.Received them very quickly - next day, in fact - but what I received was two pens in a plastic snap bag. Yes, they look brand new, but they aren’t in the official packaging and could have just been plucked from someone’s desk. Or - more likely - from a larger multipack that someone is flogging individually.No problem with someone making a profit, esp if they are brand new, but feel a bit cheated that they don’t come in the official packaging shown in the item photos. Indeed, had I known they were sold “loose” - and regardless if they’re brand new or not - I wouldn’t have purchased this item. As it is, I have been misled by inaccurate item photos showing two Uniball UB-157 black pens in official Uniball two-pen packaging. Photos are important and form part of the description. The description is therefore inaccurate.

Hopefully the pens write ok, but they do not arrive in the packaging as shown in the photograph. The pens are loose and arrive in a small plastic bag. Not as advertised. Misleading.

Smooth writers with no leaks or blotches when writing which you often find with non-ball point pen equivalents. Reliable tips which last the life of the ink tanks.

I was originally going to purchase the medium version of this but my handwriting is quite small so I decided to try these fine pens. These write with great fluidity and the thickness of the line is very consistent. A couple things I ought to point out are that these pens do smudge easily if the writing is not treated with care, and that they can only be used properly with thick paper - I personally use 90gsm. With thinner paper, you may find that writing on both sides of the page is near impossible and in those cases a regular biro would still be more suitable.

I have used these pens for a few years now and just love them. Especially the roller ball and the slimness of the pen itself. Also it's fine tip and the colour blue is vibrant

Great quality. Be careful as the pens can smudge quite easily.

I love writing with these pens and always use them- have used them for years and think they're one of the best gel pens out there. I always buy from Amazon as they're so much cheaper and will definitely purchase these or the larger pack in black or blue when needed.
