My sons loved this, but it jammed and stop working on Day 2. Disappointing.

I ordered two of The Bey Battling toy launchers for my two grandsons for Christmas. They loved them, but they only lasted about an hour. They both broke within a few minutes of each other.

This is the second one of these I've received as part of the Vine program and so far my son has had plenty of fun with them. They're easy to load and fire and the tops spin for an impressive amount of time. My cat was less than thrilled at first, but eventually we got a little arena to keep the tops better contained so now she's happy to sit next to it and swat at them. The set came with 4 tops, the launcher, and a plastic arena. The tops each light up a different color and stay pretty bright. The arena is basically useless, it's cheap plastic and the tops usually just shot off the other side and spun around the floor. Entertaining for my son, not so much for mom and dad seeing the tops spin into the stained wood wall trim. Our hardwood floors are also 100 years old so there's cracks the tops would get stuck in. I ended up finding another arena that worked much better to keep them better contained. If you have a larger floor area that's relatively smooth you could let these things roam for more entertainment. They didn't mark the floors at all before we put them in an arena.This one is slightly different than my other one in that it has gears that spin down the size. Not overly necessary, but a nice touch and I appreciate that they're working gears versus just glued on the side.

The media could not be loaded.  My grandsons love battling top games. So, I'm always on the lookout for new tops, new launchers and new games.This set is probably the least expensive set I've purchased.Negatives:The stadium provided looks like a plate a restaurant give out for leftovers. It's so small it's nearly impossible to keep the tops even inside the plate. And the tops don't explode when they hit.Positives: This set has the best top launcher I've ever used.The launcher looks like a gun. You load the top by sliding it in a long groove where the barrel would be. Once it clicks in position you pull back a slide under the barrel area as many times as you want to get the top all Rev'd up. When you're ready, point the gun where you want the top to go and pull the trigger to release the top.The top comes out fast and skids across the floor spinning like it's possessed with light flashing. And the top spins a long time. We're going to have to buy a second set as you need to shoot the tops at each other to battle. I have to say although the tops don't explode, they are tough and ready for battle.This is a fun set that is strong and very well made. The launcher works great, and the tops are strong and spin fast. The stadium included with this set is unusable. Truthfully, I think the floor maybe the best place for playing. The surface has to be pretty smooth.This top set is a little different than the exploding top games. Those tops are much heavier and spin slower, but the weight helps them to be stable at a slow rotating speed. So, they work better in the small stadiums sold with the tops.This top game work better on an open floor. You would probably need to shoot tops at each other from opposite sides of the floor. Getting these to battle takes some ingenuity. I think for the money, these are a blast to play with. I can't wait to see what happens when we deliver them to the grandkids.

What an amazing toy.....my kids are loving this so much, I just ordered a second one! The top is put in the holder and then it needs to be pumped and released for the action to begin. And action it is....these tops spin for the LONGEST TIME!! I do wish there were instructions included but I checked the website to learn how to operate really fast. The yellow top doesn't light up but truly it's not an issue....no complaints from my kids as they are having so much fun with this toy!

I really enjoyed the days of building and playing with Bey Blades with my young sons, now many years later I get to play with these with my grandson. I wish this launcher was around back then it would have been much easier. You get one launcher, four spinning gyros and one plastic stadium. Would make a great gift for any occasion.
