Impressed
This is a great book for people in the financial services field who work on oil and gas deals. The author clearly understands the subject at hand and walks you through step by step on how to valuate an upstream company. I recommend for anyone in oil and gas industry as well as anyone who is passionate about the field. 10/10

Great Resource
I am about half way through this book and have found it to be a great resource for everything from excel tips, modeling and layouts, and valuation itself. The files that are provided via download/cd-rom are structured well and easy to follow. I come from the technical side of things and have enjoyed going through this book to learn more of the financial side.A note for those ordering the hard copy: I ordered the hard copy version of the book, and it did not originally come with the CD-ROM that accompanies the book. However, the files can still be accessed from a download link as noted for e-reader purchases in the product description. I am not sure if this has become a blanket change for everyone now that cd's are being used less and less, but don't become frustrated like I was initially if you don't see the cd-rom in your order.

Outstanding
The authors have gone out of their way to deliver a very detailed book on the subject. They literally go cell-by-cell explaining, not only the calculation, but also the logic behind it. The excel files are also very useful to help you organize the layout of your own models. I work at an NOC evaluating projects. I must admit that we have added many features detailed in this book to our own models. Now our models are much more detailed, organized, and flexible. I strongly recommend this book for entry-level economists, top management positions, and anyone in between that could refresh their knowledge on fiscal concepts.

From the volume and diversity of content and considerable coverage of concession and PSC conditions, it is quite obvious how quality time and efforts have been dedicated to wrap up this book. The prepared excel sheets are super handy and save heaps time for the reader to understand the concepts. This book is highly recommended to those who have got hands in evaluation and screening of upstream projects under two main fiscal terms and conditions.

A cornerstone for new and experienced Petroleum Economists.
As the sole economist for an engineering firm launching a novel heavy oil production tool, I found "Upstream Peteoleum Fiscal and Valuation Modeling in Excel" to be a cornerstone for both practical thinking and seeding a library of Excel models.
