Bosom Buddies was a GREAT TV show!!!! I loved it and bought the WHOLE SERIES on DVD!!!! LOVE IT!!!! I received the DVD set QUICKLY and in PERFECT CONDITION!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I recently purchased this series for my wife -- when we first met fresh out of college in the mid-'80s, one reason we knew we were meant for each other was our shared love of this under-appreciated series.The production value of this show was pretty low and, presumably, typical for the era. But talent is talent, and what made this show work was the total commitment, chemistry and comedic timing of the cast and especially, of course, the two leads, Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari. You can already see Hanks' charisma and his gift to make any line reading funny, while keeping it rooted in character. In re-watching the show, it's surprising at how much heart it had amidst all the silliness.At the end of the day, the show holds up because of the leads and the opportunity to see Tom Hanks (and Peter Scolari)at the start of their careers but clearly already gifted and destined for greater things. This was underscored by the fact that other comedians enjoyed and respected the show (I recall once reading an interview with Carl Reiner at the time, mentioning this show as a favorite).It says much that Hanks and Scolari have remained friends, with Scolari occasionally showing up in Hanks' projects.One caveat: The original theme song was a cover of Billy Joel's "My Life." Due to licensing reasons, the theme song is not used on the DVD (nor on reruns). This is a shame and, I must admit, detracts much from this DVD release. The song used for the DVD apparently is the end theme with lyrics, but it's pretty awful, bland, and unlistenable. I just skip the opening credits.

Got this set today and started watching it right away! Of course, it's a little dated but the comedy is still very funny, I was laughing out loud. And refreshingly they did all these hilarious scenes with no swearing or sick jokes. I followed this entire series back when it first aired and loved it, we laughed so much at these two amazing young men and the rest of the cast too. It was very disappointing when it ended after only 2 years. But I am so pleased these talented people all did well in their careers after the series ended. I sure was sad both when Wendie Jo Sperber and then Peter Scolari passed away, they were both wonderful actors and people, gone too soon. I highly recommend it if you want a funny, silly, and charming tv show the whole family can watch...watching it now is like having a plate of comfort food!

This Is A Great Series And A Great Find For Tom Hanks Doing A Series. I Am Certainly Going To Love This Show

The original run in the early 80s made this my favorite show ever. Now I have the entire series whenever I want. Thanks to my awesome wife. I love it so much, she made it my Valentine gift!

I loved this show when it was on TV. I have not been able to find it to watch otherwise. I love that I purchased it and it came in perfect condition and protected. I am having fun watching it again.

i loved this show growing up i think it is crap that they changed the original theme song or it would of gotten a 5 star. picture is excellent looks amazing if you like a comedy show then this is for you tome hanks first appearence as a major character for a tv show how he first started i enjoyed it would of gotten a 5 star review if they left the original theme song

When you are a Tom Hanks fan, you want it all and this was a major break for his career, he was a TV stars before he came to the big screen star we know today, so go ahead and buy these two season and laugh till you drop.

I loved this show...it is a bit dated but still very funny. Early Tom Hanks roles are so funny.it arrived early and in perfect condition
