Acquired taste- great for umami-loving people.
I rediscovered the joys of Marmite recently- and got it to satisfy my taste for anything umami/salty for very few calories/WW points. Great for those watching their weight despite the sodium content. Less is more.Great to use on rice cakes, or to add to soups/broth or things like scrambled eggs or tofu (I'm vegetarian) as long as you like salty things. This is the sort of thing you either love or hate. I guess it's obvious which camp I'm in. You only need a THIN layer.I can't find this in my local stores which is why I buy it on Amazon, even though it is not as affordable as I would like.

Texan using an iconic Aussie food product?
So far I have used this in several sauces and stews to provide a beefier flavor and a little funk to enhance the experience. I don't use very much at all, actually it seems I use half as much than I normally would for beef bullion, in addition to, and it comes out perfect.Only downside is the lid. I have to almost pry the plastic lid off the jar every time with a butter knife under the rim. I have since added some parchment paper to reduce whatever is making it catch the jar.

I love Marmite.
You love it or hate it, no middle ground. Fast delivery and packaged much better than in the past. Good price as well.

Good price point, and delicious
I put it on toast! Nice to have two jars, so I know I won’t run out for a decade!

Love It
LOL - Marmite fan here. Bought one for me and one for our baby grandson for when he tries finger food for the first time. Hopefully he will take to it as much as his grandma!

Smashed jar
I love Marmite. However, one of the jars was smashed and Marmite got all over the second jar. Both are unusable. I messaged seller, but no response. Buyer beware.

Marmite is an acquired taste
I have been eating marmite for 75 years. It has a salty funky taste. Most Americans hate it. It is useful for adding an umami flavor accent to sauces and gravies. I eat it on bread with cheese or eggs.

BRILLIANT! An English favourite now available in America.
Marmite is a favourite British product. Full of vitamins, it actually saved lives during WW2. Most people, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, spread it very thinly on toast, for breakfast, but there are many other recipes that use Marmite, including soups, stews, and dressings. As an Englishman living at the moment in America, I have found it hard to purchase this item. If it is in stores they charge about $6 per small jar. Here on Amazon I got TWO DOUBLE SIZE JARS FOR ONLY $12! What a bargain! That works out to half the price! Very happy! O Frabjous Day, Calloo Calay!
