This thing will be perfect for what I need. Using for target shooting between 100-200 yards. I was able to zoom into the power line tower 1/2 mile from the house and could see the bolts with the phone on video. The fuzziness is from me trying to screenshot the image.

First of all, the scope arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I bought this scope for viewing long-range target shooting results and for observing a local Osprey nest as we have watched them yearly from afar and wanted to get a better look.When I went out to shoot on some BLM land where there are *miles* of open space in all directions (Utah), I set the scope up on my own tripod since the one it comes with is for tabletop use. When I took a look through the scope for the first time, I was looking at a hillside about 300 yards away. I thought I had the scope aimed at a shrub about 50 yards away, and it was as clear as could be. I was very happy. But when I tried to find the shrub by just looking around without the scope, I couldn't find it. Long story short - it was up the side of the hill at about 400 yards from me. WOW.I had expected some aberration with the scope, given its price point. WRONG. I odn't know how they do it, but the optics are excellent. I am really glad I didn't spring for one of the "high end" scopes that I couldn't really afford anyway since this scope is as good as I will probably ever need. Really glad I bought it! My only caveat is that since the low end of the magnification is 25x, be sure that what you plan to be looking as it far enough away that you don't have too much power for things that are close to your viewing point. Other that, I have no complaints at all - a true gem of a find!

For the price this is a great spotting scope. It’s not nitrogen filled or particularly weather proof and if you make your living scouting for big game or something like that you are going to get a much better scope.But for users who occasionally want to look at objects in the sky or wildlife you cannot beat the price.Also I think this would be a great scope for your kids who are interested in astronomy.I think it’s much better than those intro telescopes sold at hobby stores and much easier to use (you would need to get a decent but inexpensive camera tripod to use it).

The objective lens pieces on the end of the scope fell out after its first use. Unable to get them back in place so I had to throw it away. Complete waste of money on a very poor quality item.

Wow. Great optics. Lets me see the ships in the harbor close up.You will need a stable tripod to minimize shaking.My only disappointment is that the eyepiece is just a little too wide to accept e video samers. I was trying to avoid using an iPhone for video.Oh well...
