Great product
I am very happy with this saw at a dramatically cheaper price then a Festool. It cuts very nicely and has no problem cutting 2 inch thick walnut or bubinga. Cuts are very nice with the included blade and with the sliding channel you get very accurate cuts. I covered the blade access with tape to improve the dust collection. With the blade access covered you get very good dust control when attached to a separate vacuum. I had no problem attaching the hose from my shop vacuum, it fit right into the port that came with the saw. However, the fit will depend on the vacuum you have so it is possible you may need to buy an adapter.

Love this plunge saw
I recently retook an old hobby with woodworking, and this Kreg saw along with its companion multi functional table were the first things I purchased. This saw has plenty of power to cut through 3/4” panel (thickest I’ve cut so far). It is important to keep in mind that when doing crosscuts, the wood can easily chip or split… my recommendation is to use painter’s tape and draw a cut line on top of the tape to guide you and to prevent the wood from splitting. The splinter guard helps, but is not 100% effective, so you still get some splinters, hence my recommendation earlier. The dust port is very effective especially if you attach a vacuum. Through the last couple of months I’ve been using this saw, I estimate an 80 - 90% dust capture by attaching a vacuum. For anyone starting out, this means there’s less fine dust particles in the air, which reduces the risk of breathing those into your lungs (which can lead over time to breathing issues).Other things I like are how well the saw works with the Kreg track, you can easily adjust the saw with the guide to virtually eliminate any play, thus allowing you to make very precise cuts.Setting the plunge depth is easy, and the saw’s handle allows for push or pull, so if you’re like me (5’ 10”) or shorter, you can start your cut on one side, pause and go around to finish the cut without leaving marks.Hope this helps

Worked great!
Ordered this for my husband per his request. He used it to trim a little off the edge of new doors he installed at our house rather than put in all new prehung doors. He was able to trim the smallest amount using this with the same brand track system. Very happy with it!

Nice track say.
It works well and makes very clean cuts. Only complaint is that the dust control did not work well as shipped. I added an aftermarket cap to cover the arbor hole, and it works much better.

Best tool purchase
So I'm an older woman who has just recently gotten into woodworking. For my first few projects, I had to get my husband to cut the 4' X 8' sheets of plywood for me. Now, with this awesome saw and the track guide, all my husband does is carry the heavy sheets and places them on my workarea and I can cut to my hearts desire. I use it for SO much! Just LOVE this tool!

Cuts straight and INCREDIBLY smooth
Once you get the hang of positioning the track on the workpiece, it is an absolute joy to use. Most of the time, you do not deed to clamp the track in place because the sticky pads on the bottom do their job very well. I use a sheet of 3/4" insulating foam as a backer and just do sheetgoods cuts on the floor of my garage. The track is too short for ripping a 4x8 sheet the long way and a little too long for shorter crosscuts, but since I only have a small DW745 table saw, this gets used more than I thought it would. One tip: If you need to cut such that the track is not fully supported by the workpiece, use some scrap to hold up the side that is not resting on what it is you are cutting so that the whole track is parallel to the cutting surface. It takes a little time to catch on, but it works great.Did I mention that the cuts are super smooth? Better than any saw I have ever used. I love it.

Only one regret.
Putting off the purchase because you just don't know if you should, or should not, is a mistake. You should!!!!The only reason not too is if you simply must have a more expensive one. If saving money, and performance matters, buy it. I made my life difficult for 7 years because, "I didn't need it." Technically, I guess I still don't. There are other ways for me to do what I want without it, but now I'm safer than I have ever been when handling 4 x 8 sheets. My only regret is not buying it sooner.
