I bought this to plug in for security on the porch when I forget to turn on the porch light at night. I really didn't expect too much from it but thought I'd give it a try. Was I ever wrong! This light is amazing, it's super bright and the motion sensor works perfect...I like it so much I'm buying another one for the back porch!

The media could not be loaded. This is a small lamp that runs on house current, and has a motion detector built into it. I got some similar items at IKEA, but they run on 3 AAA batteries, that only last a week or two. I thought a plug-in model would save the hassle of changing the batteries. Turns out, this little lamp is a lot brighter than the battery powered IKEA lights. The video I uploaded tries to give you an idea of how it brightens up the room when it kicks on.This entire fixture is about the size of a tennis ball, and works well out of the box. I took some pictures to show how easily it blends in. Just be flexible about where you might want to put it, because it is quite bright. Probably too bright to look directly into.As you can see, it plugs straight into the wall socket, and I chose a location close to the ground, under a table. The built in motion detector reliably senses your legs when you walk in, and turns the light on for you. Super bright so it lights up the whole room even placed under the table.You get a stark white light that is excellent to read or work by, and it will stay on as long as you move around, even slightly, every few minutes. You do not have to constantly keep moving, to keep the light on. Apparently, just hanging around does the trick. The bulb itself only gets very slightly warm. I gave it 5-stars for energy efficiency, because soon after you leave the room, the light turns itself off. When you come back in the room, if flips back on automatically. Very convenient, and you don't even have to think about it or lift a finger.I think it makes the kitchen a safer place, and I don't feel the need to leave a light on all night any more. I would like one of these in every room. Then I might never have to use a light switch again! I didn't realize what a convenience it really is, until I had been using it for several days. You will not regret trying this little light out in your home. Try it in different locations, and then you'll probably want some more, strategically placed, all through your home.

I have several motion sensored plug in lights exactly like this but they have a neck on them so you can point them in different directions. This one does not do that it plugs straight into the outlet. I always thought the ones with the movable neck were the best thing since sliced bread. And they are for what I use them for but this one comes in and it's the butter to that bread! This one works perfect for the outlets that are towards the ground because it does sit so snug against the actual outlet there's no chance of it being hit by a leg or an animal so it'll pull out of the outlet. If you're looking at these you better get a couple because once you get one you're going to wish you had. Trust me I'm living proof of that. They're very bright oh so bright you would actually think that it was daylight. They're the perfect sensitivity and they stay on the perfect amount of time. I honestly can't say enough good things about this plug in motion sensored light. But what I can say; you're going to want one in every room of your house.

There is no ability switching to warm light and adjust a timer

Great for hallways and dark basements, bathrooms and places where there is a lot of foot traffic but low lighting.

This one is bright so you won't want to use it as a night light. We use it our in our garage. It came with no instructions and basically just works. I wish we could adjust the brightness or how long it stayed one but in general it's pretty great.
