This little thing is a beast! I bought it for my 5-gallon betta tank to replace my (3rd) Topfin fish filter after it burnt out. Not only is it practically silent once it gets going, but it is super easy to set up, just put 3 pieces together, fill it with water, and let it do its thing. The current isn't too strong, and my fish seems to enjoy taking little strolls under it. It also cleared up my water practically overnight, and I use sand as substrate. I'll have to update my review after having it for at least a month, but for now, as long as I keep the impeller clean, it looks promising.

For the price point, these are some of the most reliable and hardworking filters I have tried so far. I have tried probably 10 different filters in the last year for one of my 5 gallon tank and they all seem to have something that isn't quite right, like the down stem is too long, the motor clogs easily, motor burns out quickly, etc. For $10, these are some solid filters. I like to run filters in pairs or triplets for extra filtration so these are a perfect choice for what I do

Great filter! Easy to clean (although you do have to clean it pretty often) fits great on rimless 6.5 long, easy to put together, small and compact, keeps the water clear!

Works awsome cant even tell its working just wish it came with assembly instructions and more filters that fit and that were not so hard to use

Best hang-on-the-back filter. Sooo easy to clean adjust water flow and quiet. Previous purchase was Boxtech. Good filter too, but very hard to clean and really no adjustment to water flow.

Works well on smaller tanks. I have one on a 2.5 gal and 5 gal. and next size up on a 10 gal..

This slim aquarium filter works okay for my 5 gallon tank, and I like that the flow is adjustable. It runs fairly quietly once it’s properly set up. However, the instructions were a bit unclear, and it took some trial and error to get it working without making noise. Also, the build quality feels a little flimsy, so I’m not sure how long it will last. It’s a decent budget option, but don’t expect too much.

This filter is perfect for the small tank I'm using it for.
