Beautiful story of love and the courage to find the way
I loved this story. It is the first book I’ve read by Michael Robert, but I am deep in to the genre….Anyway, this story is fresh in so many ways and made more so by the amazing character and character of Bo. His love and attentiveness and genuineness shines through even the worst of the complicated lives related to Hayes’ life. Other characters shine though as well, but this is truly the story of two wonderful men who find and lose and find and lose again—each lost in his own way—until grace and courage by them and a supportive Mom help them find their way. Buy and read and hopefully love and for sure then recommend this great story on to others for them to enjoy as well!

looking for a book boyfriend?
This is the second book I’ve read by Michael Robert and it fully convinced me to explore his backlist.More often than not, stories involving the über wealthy and folk from the other side of the tracks go way too far, lacking relatability. ‘Take me with you’ is a fine example of how well this trope can be done if the author imprints the characters with enough personality to come through as truly genuine. This book ticks quite a few boxes for me, more specifically, despicable villains capable of engaging the readers distaste, morally gray characters that keep the reader on the fence, and two flawed MCs that inspire aggravation and tenderness in equal measure. Especially Bo…Looking for a character to fall in love with? Boregard is it!

Loved it! This author's books are always amazing!!
Take Me With YouBy Michael Robert5 ⭐'s, Highly RecommendSo I love it when this author writes about Beaufort, SC (and surrounding areas) ...maybe because I don't live that far away...maybe because I loved his Letters duet where he first wrote about this area. Regardless they make my heart happy.I went in just knowing Hayes was going to be my favorite (and I did love him) but you know what... Bo wow he stole my heart. Oh my gosh he was the sweetest character and he had already gone through so much heartbreak at such a young age that you just wanted to wrap him up in all the love you could possibly give him.Hayes was such a fun and loving character so I was definitely surprised by his change when he went back home after remembering who he was. I guess that goes to show how deeply ingrained your family and lifestyle can be even when it isn't something that's making you happy. Especially when you're trying so hard to please others and start losing yourself in the process. So glad that his mom intervened and that he and Bo were able to get their HEA!! They both deserved it so much.I loved how the rush of the storm coming and all the emotions of the characters brewing kept me pulled into the story.Michael Robert always has unique storylines and great characters that you'll fall in love with. Highly recommend this book and author...you can't go wrong!!

Hayes & Bo❤️
A really beautifully done romance, tons of emotion and a wonderful writing style. I did enjoy the time spent in the early chapters, where the author really demonstrates how lonely of an existence both Hayes and Bo are living. Bo has recently lost his grandmother, living alone in his fishing shack, and still missing his best friend Jamie. Hayes is living a kind of half life, his long time boyfriend and his family keeping him living the open life we craves. My favorite parts of the book were the time they spend alone in the fishing cabin, with Bo caring for the mysterious stranger with amnesia he has rescued. I loved these characters, Bo and Hayes are endearing, flawed, and very real. They are lovely together, I was really pulling for them, hoping they would not break from others interfering in their future. Great characters, wonderful writing, I really enjoyed Hayes and Bo’s journey.I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

A Wonderful South Carolina M/M Story
Every new book that Michael Robert would release was pretty awesome! This new one certainly did not disappoint me at all! I simply devoured it! Once again, he tore my heart and I had to put them back together to finish it! He painted such a beautiful scenery that takes place on Parris Island in South Carolina. Throw in two opposite worlds (managing by versus being very privileged) and how the MCs navigate through both worlds makes it so attractive for me! I loved the MCs and really despise the two different minor characters in the story. If I could, I would give this book more than 5 allocated stars! It’s my favorite of the ones I’ve already read by Michael Robert. This is the type of book I would read over and over! The story starts with Bo, a sweet guy who was in love with his best friend and they had made a pact that they would stay together. However, after graduation, Bo’s best friend wanted to go to college but didn’t want him to go with him. It broke Bo’s heart. As Bo grew up, he was willed this adorable shack and would collect crabs to be sold to restaurants. He was happy with his life and that heartbreak would lessen as time went.In the meantime, to the south of Parris Island, in the big city, this guy, Hayes was not happy with his privileged life. He had a boyfriend who prefers to stay way back in the closet and keep the facade of being straight right in the front. He had parents who prefers to keep his sexuality a big secret. Keeping up the facade literally tore him down little by little. One weekend, Hayes and his boyfriend went on this cruise with the boyfriend’s gay friends. That was when Hayes found out more about his boyfriend that caused him to snap. He decided to get on a dinghy and get away just as a hurricane was coming by. He barely survived. He was found by Bo close by to the shack. When he woke up, he had amnesia. That’s where I’m going to stop and have you pick up the book and read to find out what all happens and whether Hayes gets his memory back or not.

LOVED THIS STORY!!!
I got really wrapped up in this story. My heart was breaking for those two. Their past with unloving partners and having the greatest chance in life for greatest love of all time. They both deserved to be with each other. They looked completely opposite on the outside but inside they were the same. This was another incredible story by Michael Robert and I would definitely highly recommended it!

An absolute joy to read!
This is the first book I have read by Michael Robert and it will not be the last. I am so glad I took a chance and bought this book when I read the synopsis. What a great writer and what a wonderful gay romance of two men from completely different worlds who come together during a natural disaster and fall in love.Bo Dawson is a fisherman living in a simple wooden shack on Parris Island in South Caroline. Two years earlier he lost the love of his life who left him and went to college despite the promises they had made to plan a future together. Bo is devastated when Jamie leaves and has still not recovered from his ex-boyfriend's loss. Shortly after this he also lost his grandmother who raised him after his father died. Bo is only 20, and he has good friends, but he is lonely and wants a man who will put him first to share his life with.Hayes Crawford is 26 and from a wealthy southern family who come from "old money" in Charleston and everything that entails. His obnoxious wealthy boyfriend of 10 years refuses to come out of the closet and their relationship is at crisis point. Things rapidly deteriorate on a weekend sailing trip when Hayes finds out his boyfriend has been unfaithful and decides to leave the yacht as a storm surges up the Caroline coast. Hayes ends up being washed ashore at Bo's fishing shack. He has no memory of how he got there and doesn't remember who he is and where he came from. Bo looks after him and they both end up falling for each other. When Hayes regains his memory and returns to his former life he wants to take Bo back with him, but the reality of his previous life is a far cry from Bo's life and things rapidly spin out of control . Is love enough to pull them back together and overcome their huge lifestyle differences when the reality is they both want the same thing when it comes to a personal relationship? This is an absolute joy to read and I could not put it down

Love, love, love
If I ever find myself in Hayes' situation, I want someone like Bo to find me.Although they come from different worlds, they are so alike that there really is no other path but to be together. The two broke my heart and put it back together. I'm hopelessly in love with both of them. This book is the first thing I've read by Michael Robert and it's now one of my absolute favorites.

tempestuous
💕 All Bo wants is a quiet life on the island with someone to call his own. When Hayes arrives, his memory loss allows him to just be himself without any expectations. Once he gets past the initial shock. It’s a beautiful blossoming relationship between them. The book took several chapters introducing each character before they meet. You need to be patient (I know, it’s hard). It’s important to understand who they are as individuals before the storm, so you can better grasp the magnitude of the impact of the second “storm”. Technically, not a storm, but when Hayes gets thrust back into his old life, it sure feels like it. And we don’t know if he can survive this one.Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I know you will too.
