I love this!!
Amazing quality for the price. Trust me when I say I can barely paint my nails without it being so ugly. I watched two YouTube videos on this and pictured is my results of my very first time. I’m going to buying this for gifts for all my friends I used to go get my nails done with. I’ll never go to a salon again. I can’t wait to get better practice and try more colors, plus designs with clear, etc.

Great little kit for personal use or travel!
I was hesitant to buy this set because the one solitary review at the time was not that positive. Some people have ridiculous expectations and are hard to please I guess. Glad I took a chance because this kit is pretty great imo and the price is right! If you want a large expansive professional kit… order one. This comes with all the basics you would need to do a complete poly gel set at home and a few things to experiment with design which I found fun to play around with. Pinks aren’t really my thing but I chose to buy this kit regardless because my main passion is nail art so the base will be relatively unimportant and predominantly pink seemed to be the most neutral color set to begin with. I was pleasantly surprised that this polygel had virtually no smell. I like to do my nails in bed in the evenings while watching tv with my husband so harsh smells are a no-no. I messed up on my pinky finger twice and quickly filing with my dremel a bit and an acetone soaked cotton ball removed the product very nicely and I was able to try again within a couple minutes. Really excited to start coming up with a bunch of designs to float within the nail and add dimension without the bulk of a zillion layers of gel polish. Once you add paint, foil, stickers, glitter etc the nails can start to look a little thick and unnatural so building the design from within the nail is a complete game changer for me. And I really liked that the tubes were 15g (1/2oz) because once opened they should be used within a year for best product results and to me it makes sense to have more color options in smaller sizes. I’ll probably buy a larger size in my frequently used favorite colors and a large tube of clear eventually. Not my best work and forgive my cuticles, (I root tap my hair without gloves for precision😬) but I thought a photo would be nice. Can I also state how much I love the TINY light it comes with! I have a large professional one I use also but this little one is so convenient and can cure a whole hand if you are so inclined. I attended an out of town wedding in the fall and thought it would be nice to paint my moms nails while hanging around the hotel all weekend but it was kinda annoying how much space my large curing lamp took up in my luggage on top of everything else I needed to bring. This light is literally smaller than my iPhone when folded up and is powered via usb cord. I could literally do my nails in the school pickup line if I wanted to! Some might call that weird but I call it utter convenience as a busy mom.

Definitely worth it! So fun!
This was such a pleasant surprise! Yes, it took me a while to do both hands and there was a bit of a learning curve (and a few minor drawbacks), but for the price and amount of product this is a steal. Do note that I just did my nails today, so I'm still not sure of their longevity. Here are a few tips (and note that the attached picture was my first attempt with any kind of poly gel, so I hope to improve):1) The base coat doesn't completely dry under the UV light. At first I thought this was an issue with my light, but it worked fine for the poly gel and top coat. I think maybe the base coat is supposed to be tacky to help the poly stick, but I'm not sure. Just a note!2) It's easy to get a bit of an indent line around your cuticle from where the plastic mold sits, even if the brush is used around it prior to the UV light. I've found that, after curing, you can squeeze a bit more of the gel directly onto your nail at the base and pat it a bit in the areas that could be filled in, just like they'd do at a salon with powder gel or acrylic. Buffing the nail after you cure it again makes it so, with the top coat, it's just as shiny!3) I noticed that the poly gel builds up easily behind your nail, especially the pinky (where it's more concentrated). Be sure to run the brush/slip solution over the back prior to curing. I just did these nails today, and a nail or two is super-thick from the back. I'm trying to figure out if I should re-do them or if there's another way I can chip away at the buildup. Ultimately, though, it's really not a big deal!4) There is minor burning when curing the poly gel under UV, which I know from experience getting nail extensions in Asian salons (many of which, in China and Vietnam, use clear poly gel instead of powder or acrylic) that it's to be expected. I've never had a reaction previously, but I'm aware that others have. Just be aware of your skin sensitivities!

Colors don't match
Not sure why im not able to add my photo to the review. However the red is really a pink jelly color. The orange is orange but not that nice darker orange. I tried it with both the kit's slip solution and 70% alcohol. Both seemed to work nicely. I did not try the lamp that came with it just because I have one that I feel safe using. Make sure that gel is cured yall or you'll develop an allergy no matter the brand. All in all I do enjoy modelones polygel I just wish the colors were more true to their description.

Worth it!
I was tired of spending $50+ every two weeks to get my nails done. I decided to try polygel nails and save some money. This was the first time I have ever attempted to do them myself. I did figure out some things along the way that definitely make the process easier:- After applying the base coats, work on one nail at a time. If you try to do polygel on your whole hand and then cure, it just won’t work. Doesn’t matter if you have nail clips. Going one nail at a time isn’t really that bad.- Don’t forget to spread the gel on the underside unless you have an electric nail file to fix the clump. Don’t forget to cure the underside of the nail too!- Put the polygel on the plastic nail piece, not your actual nail. Try spreading it out to your desired shape/length and then press it on.In terms of stickiness, I don’t think the polygel is that bad. Dip your brush in the provided solution and you should have an easy enough time spreading the gel. I plan on trying again in a couple of weeks once I have some growth. I’ve had them on for one week so far and no issues at all! None of them have popped off, cracked, etc. I’ve also gotten a lot of compliments on the glitter gold.

Fab but, Does not come with slip solution
My husband bought me this as a gift for Xmas as I’m usually just a gel polish gal but my nails don’t grow long enough abs I want to have long nails. The kit is great and I had my all be it badly shaped nails on for over a week I’ve just recently removed them to try a different approach at making them a better shape. (They would have lasted way longer if I hadn’t removed them)I would have liked to have a slip solution with it as just using the base coat doesn’t clean any gel away if you flood the cuticle area or side walls it kind of just moves it about. If it has the slip solution it would be 5stars.

Excellent value
Once I got the hang of it, I got brilliant results. So easy to use and the tubes of poly gel will last absolutely ages. Unlike acrylics, these are easy to remove and won’t damage your own nails the same and are a lot thinner as well. I’m already looking at glitter gels and other options.

i havent used this yet but looks good, only thing is they have sent a completely empty bottle of topcoat which sucks since ive run out. not a deal breaker but you expect everything to be there when you order something

Great kit and well worth the money!
I saw a video on TikTok of someone doing poly gel and decided to give it a try. Reading previous reviews I imagined it would be difficult and would probably get a poor result. I decided to try it out on my pinky nail this morning thinking if it all goes wrong then no-one will notice. However, I found the kit to be really good and carried on doing all fingers, don’t get me wrong they’re not perfect but really pleased with the result. Wish I’d taken a before as I’m a terrible nail-biter and my natural nails are half the size of the pic! Ps. I’m a complete beginner.
