Love the copper roof. I mounted it on a 4” x 4’ vinyl fence post (100” long) from Home Depot, and used a bag of pea gravel to fill the hole and the post up to the ground height. That left a little over 6’ to the bottom of the house. It is very well made and easy to mount with the included screws. You will need a #1 square bit if you use the included mounting screws. I hadn’t even moved the step ladder I used to mount the birdhouse before a bird was looking in the door and checking it out. We expect to enjoy it for many years to come.

We bought this for my mom for Mother's Day and she loves it. She watches it all day long as the birds are in and out all the time.

The media could not be loaded.  I am very happy with this birdhouse. The seller was very accommodating in providing the smaller post fitting. I did not give this five stars for these two reasons. I hope by including them in my review, the seller takes note and makes adjustments. This is designed for two bird families, one on each side. There is a squared off divider that slides inside to divide the two sides. The problem with this divider is that it only goes to the top of the house part leaving a void above. This allows the birds to go over the top to the other side, building their nest wall up and over, blocking the other side from being used. In my opinion, the divider should come to a peak closing off the open space under the roof. The only other thing is the finial. The fit is very lose. I ended up pushing the pvc pipe [to which the finial is attached] through a piece of styrofoam to help keep it from moving. It fit so lose that I was afraid it could be lifted out in the high winds. If these two things were corrected, I would definitely give this five stars. As you can see, the birds are happy in their new home.

This birdhouse was easy to attach to an existing 4x4 post. It looks great, seems like it will be easy to clean also if we get some tenants in it this spring!

I am so impressed about how much room it creates and I cannot wait to put it on the post outside!!!?
