This is a really nice set for occasional use, parties etc. I am happy with the variety and have found uses for each one. I worry about how they will hold up to washing.

I was pleasantly surprised with this set - unassuming when first removed from the packaging with just a plain black box. However, when you opened it, a pre-tied yellow ribbon and a card were tucked inside. There's a great variety of cheese knives perfect any type of cheese - soft to hard. I plan on gifting this, so did not use the knives, but a quick visual scan and testing the edge suggest that these should do very well on harder cheeses. The chalkboards are a great size and I did do a very small, light test on one as shown in the picture. The chalk is not the greatest / cleanest line and the chalkboards should be wiped down with a slightly damp cloth. However, I appreciate the sharpened tip on the chalk and the fact that this set did include both chalk and the mini chalkboards for an all-in-one kit. The card had a dried flower attached to it with a sticker with the company's name on it. I was able to peel off the sticker without any damage to the card or flower and retape the flower with a prettier washi tape that I have. The inside of the card is blank and I plan on using it to write a message to my recipient. The yellow ribbon is long enough to loop over the edges for an elegant look - though you could replace it and tie on any ribbon you already have. The ribbon does have a pre-tied bow and I think overall is a good enough quality to feel no qualms about gifting it along with the rest of the set. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this for any future housewarmings I go to, especially for those who are just setting out from college and may not already have a cheese knife set for their charcuterie boards!
