Suction Cup Paper Towel Holder- Chrome Plated Stainless Steel Bar for Bathroom & Kitchen (Chrome)

This PT holder doesn’t work. I followed instructions provided but the problem is the suction cup does not hold. The holder continues to fall off my smooth surface. Very disappointed.Update 6/11: The company reached out to me and apologized the product did not work. They offered to replace it for free or refund my money. I opted for the latter as I already purchased another item. Even know the product did not work for me, the customer service was great. I appreciated that they reached out to me and are an honest company that stands behind their product.

Had a paper towel holder on my counter for years. I have a small kitchen and saw this in a magazine one day and thought, why the heck have I never gotten one of these?? It arrived, I read the easy instructions and voilà my new paper towel holder was installed! I have a tight space to put it in so I had to try it several different ways before I figured out which direction I liked it. What’s great about this is that you are not committed like you are with screws and glue.

I have a series of Chrome suction cup accessories in my bathroom from a different manufacturer. Each of them took about 2 seconds to put up and have remained in place for the last two years. I received my Hasko suction cup paper towel holder, with its different technology 2 days ago and have yet to be successful at having the product to remain on a perfectly smooth wall. I have tried everything, including reading the instructions (multiple times) insuring to go exactly as described, nothing works. I find it hard to believe that this technology was made to be so difficult , as people who likely want a suction cup product are looking for simplicity and ease. Very disappointed.

I've read a few bad reviews and almost changed my mind, however, I decided to give it a try and I'm happy with my purchase. Read the instructions that comes with the package and you can't go wrong. I use the suction cup instead of the stick and peel and it turned out amazing.

Update October 7, 2018It stays up for a while and falls down after a few days. I can repeat the process of cleaning the mounting disk with 91% alcohol and it will stay up again for a few days.--------------------------------------------------------------------Initally, I couldn't get this to stay attached despite repeated attempts. Eventually I realized it wasn't working because I was using Wintergreen alcohol instead of clear alcohol. Once I used the clear alcohol, it worked exactly as advertised. Since I was attaching it to the bottom of a wood cabinet, I had to use the disk with a sticky back.I was also pleased with the customer service.

Every time it fell I put it back up only to have it last 24-72 hours and fall again. I super cleaned the smooth backsplash, topping it off with an alcohol cleaning. I did this also for the suction cup. I tried wetting the suction cup with water and it didn't help. Every event of replacement was followed by a 24 hour period where if it survived, I hung the paper towels on the bar. This has been going on for months because I really wished it would have worked. Funny that the suction cup hooks I purchased at the same time have no problem staying in place, they haven't fallen once from the same backsplash. I really don't want to make holes in the wall of my apartment if I don't have to, but I looked again today and couldn't find a solution that I was willing to pay for or truly worked. I don't have countertop space, so it has to be some sort of over the cabinet door or removable adhesive to work for me. But I must admit defeat and give this item an F.

This was kinda hard to install and it kept falling off the dang wall. It didn’t want to stick so we had to use the double sided tape. It looks cute though with the silver because it matches the toilet paper holder. They forgot to install the toilet paper holder when they installed hand rails for the patients. So we bought suction toilet paper holders as well. The silver matches with everything but this was just really hard to install. However it finally stuck after how many pieces of double sided tape I had to use.

So this design doesn’t work at all. The rubber suction is too thick to flex to actually suction to anything so it won’t stay on at all. Also, it’s not a true suction if you have to use a sticker mounted plastic disk to suction it to. This was to go on clean flat large tile above my sink where a real suction cup would work best as steam over time would loosen the adhesive on the sticker plate that was included. That was the WHOLE reason I wanted a Suction cup paper towel holder. No only is the product misleading in its design and title but the manufacturing is horrible making it impossible to work even as the design was intended.

What I did like about this product is the holding strength when sticked on tiled wall. The design of the suction mechanism was easy to use and reliable as well. The suction cup did well and served its(1) purpose without fail. The con of this product lies with the towel holder stick. The gap between the towel holder stick is too wide. The general width or thickness of a standard kitchen or bathroom paper towel measures at approximately 10-11cm in diameter which leaves much space for the towel to "free roll"(unroll without intentions of users) when met with strong wind conditions.This has only been less than 90 days since I've bought this product. I am still on the lookout for the effect of rust to take place, so I would not comment on this factor just yet.But overall, it's still a great product to have and use.

I had this mounted on my bathroom mirror WITHOUT needing the 3M adhesive that came with the package and so far it's holding up. I've had it mounted for over 20 days and the sunction is so far so good. It hasn't fallen off my mirror yet.

A little more flimsy than I thought it would be but does the job well. And its stayed on no problems yet. Good product

It’s plastic and a bit cheaply made, and not super sturdy. With that being said, it does the job so I kept it and works well for what it is.

I got frustrated at first. But I finally was able to make it work. It is how they say. Give it a day and then you put the paper towel.
