Q: How do the batteries go in, not sure of + and - alignment

I don't know. Mine was not complete. Just had the bottle and cork.

It's multicolor. It changes from red to green and blue.

Q: how TALL is this jar, the title says 12cm(4.72 inches) but the product description says 6.25 inches

Go with the 6.25 measurement. Mine was not that small

Q: How does the light turn on? I've been trying to twist it in either direction and it won't budge.

I sometimes find I need to pull the light device up out of the cork a little bit in order to isolate turning the switch. Otherwise it tends to rotate the whole unit instead of just the switch. It’s not as easy as I wish it was.
