Road Atlas Spain & Portugal (AA Atlas) Spiral-bound – 3 April 2017

Good map, used an older version for many yers so when it wore out I bought the same AA one to use again.

Great Value all you need when driving abroad

A good sized , clear and concise road atlas. Very useful for me as it shows contours and heights of mountains, as I find driving next to sheer drops extremely nerve Wrecking! With this I can plan well and pick the flatter, gentler routes.

My old AA "Big Road Atlas of Spain" is well worn and out of date. It was clear and large scale 1cm = 3km. I wanted to replace it with one covering Portugal too. Unfortunately neither the AA or many others seem to have a large scale map available anymore. The scale on this is 1cm = 4km and it's too small to be good for detailed navigation on back roads. In addition the pages are small meaning you are constantly flipping between them. The route planning map is too small also and hidden away at the back while the page finder is also very small and at the front. This necessitates constant flipping between 3 maps and front and back to try and work out a route and where you are on a specific (small) detailed map page. The only improvement is the spiral binding which seems good but then it has to be with all that flipping pages.

Excellent Atlas. However the rear cover keeps coming out of the ring binder.

Good value. Easy to follow.
