The extra space for my toes is luxurious!
Just returned from my first walk in my new Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoes. I planned to do three miles to break them in but ended up doing five! The shoes immediately felt so natural on my feet. My toes were no longer crowded into a small narrow toe box. I was able to get a better sensation of the ground I was walking on. And, the wider, natural-shape toe box provided a greater sense of stability and control. As a point of reference, I'm a male in my early 70's. I walk between 50 to 60 miles per week (7+ to 8+ miles per day.) My shoes for the past five years have been Brooks Glycerins and most recently Hoka Cliftons. I retire my shoes between 300 and 400 miles. The Glycerins and Cliftons created painful pressure on the outer edges of my left and right big toes. With the Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoes... the pain is gone! All of my toes have room to splay without pressure from the shoes. The Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoes are about 1/2" wider in the toe box than the Glycerins and Cliftons. The Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoes feel cushiony but tactile. I have a better feel of the ground with the Topo Fli-Lyte 5s than with the Brooks Glycerins or Hoka Cliftons.During my walk I noticed a subtle stretch in my achilles tendons and gastrocnemius muscles. The stretch was actually quite comfortable. I seemed to have greater power with a bit less exertion on inclines. The Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoe are definitely keepers! In my opinion they look better on my feet than the Glycerins and Cliftons... which looked like big marshmallows! Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoes feel and look more tailored! I'll be ordering more. I just hope Topo doesn't change a great shoe!Update Sunday, September 15, 2024 - Second walk with my new Topo Fli-Lyte 5 shoes... did 7.25 miles this morning. Still loving these shoes! The only negative so far is the soles slip a bit on wet sidewalks and asphalt roads. The soles are not quite as grippy as my retired Hoka Cliftons or Brooks Glycerins.

Comfortable but not durable.
Bought these precisely two months ago, I use them for running. Very comfortable was happy with how they fit, unfortunately the side of the shoe ripped. Don’t think I’ll buy again a shoe at this price that only lasts two months

Comfortable, light and flexible
I was considering Nikes or Hokas, but glad I went with these. The heel and lining is soft and thin and hasn't caused rubbing issues like other running shoes I've had in the past. The toe box is wide and spacious, which allows your foot to expand and breathe well. I've ran about 50 miles in them. Highly recommend! I found out about Topo's through friends who previously have used Hoka's & Altras. Topo is less known in the trail running & ultra world, but they're up and coming. Love them and ordering a 2nd pair!

Great Shoe!
Like Mercury's slippers! Super light, nice wide toe box, true size fit.

Road run
Midfoot bit too narrow and scratchy, low stackheight, light and reasonable bounce back, 1st try topo, good value

Good for road walking
I bought this for weighted walking on roads and paved bike paths. I like them a lot. Nice and breathable, works well for a foot that is accustomed to Altras. I ended up buying some Topo trail runners and those are great as well.

Husband LOVES these!
My husband LOVES these shoes, specifically the toe area! He's a size 14 and doesn't need exactly a wide. These are perfect! He loves how comfortable they are overall. One issue he has, though, is the shoes squeek after he placed the sole on top of his Good Feet orthotics. The shoes squeek with every step, but he continues to wear them every day!

Pricey for how quickly they wear out.
Purchased to help with foot pain which it it did but only other products by Topo they are not built to last. The breathable mesh top may help with air flow for the weekend jogger but for everyday use they just wear out way too fast for how expensive they are. Will upgrade to the hikers which are super light and great in the feet but way sturdier.
