I confess, I'm a passionate Bobby Flay fan. But if I'd never heard of him, I would still LOVE this book.Bobby Flay Cooks American has amazing recipes -- I think the first one I'm going to try is the Pumpkin Soup with Cinnamon Cream (he says it's his all-time most requested recipe). There's a broad range of dishes, from appetizers to cocktails to desserts. Truly, there's something for every palate and just about every skill level.Great as the recipes and photos are, though, the quality of the writing is every bit as charming. This book is warm, witty, full of enjoyable anecdotes and self-deprecating humor, but what's really striking is just how clearly his joy and passion for what he does comes through. He's totally in love with his calling, and it warms the heart to see.I plan to collect all the rest of his books, because they're a total joy to read. I hope he cooks -- and writes -- forever.

I am a faithful viewer of any & all of Bobby Flay's television shows & am always trying to emulate his combinations of spice inner meals. Also, he can't be beat on technique. I now have every cookbook he has authored except the latest one that is in the works. I might need to wait until the $50.00 price tag comes down a bit but I will eventually indulge in it as well. They are great for browsing through as well!

Useful to the cook who is looking for "a lttle twist"-- to add the subtle southwest flavor to the ordinary and thus create the extraordinary. Easy to follow and easy to make recipes.Two special sections on Fourth of July and Thanksgving are welcome.

Another lovely addition to my kitchen library of Bobby Flay's terrific recipes. You just can't go wrong with this books. The man is a Iron Chef and for good reason. Excellent offering of great ideas for the preparation of dellicious meals. Thank you Mr. Flay. Well Done!

I bought this book as a gift, so haven't used it myself. However, I'm a foodie and an avid home cook, so I appraised it carefully and critically before choosing it -- and I wish now that someone would give it to me!
