A real Shave feels great
There's no doubt about it ther's a small degree of skill neeeded to use one of these but the results are pretty incredible. Just make sure that the area to be shaved is well prepared and soaped be you start.I should have started using one of these years ago.

Not for use as a razer
This is a nice looking blade but it's more show than razer it is sharp and will remove hair from arms but the blade ain't straight or consistent and it is over sized for looks that actually being used on fave or beard or stuble hairThe strop is the best bit about this set

The media could not be loaded. Ignore all these reviews ... This is a prop Replica for starters .. and it's actually very easy to use. If your having to sharpen the blade before using it... That's WHAT YOUR SUPPOSED TO DO!! I've been shaving with a straight razor for years, and I'm telling you. This razor is passable. You have to care for your blade like you care for your kitchen knives! Every time you carve a chicken or turkey, you sharpen the blades. I was very happy with this razor. Cuts through leather like a treat with practically no force, and that's pre stropping. I then stropped the blade to get an incredibly sharp razor. I have used it and shaved with it and it is difficult to use as the blade sise is quite big, BUT.. it's also faster.. still take your time with it and appreciate the art that goes into straight razors, but all in all, I will be purchasing more for my collection! Im very happy that this replica is functional aswel as ornamental... So I will be grabbing a few more when I can to add to the collection!
