received a broken candy cane... the wrapping of the products could of been better... but overall the elves were cute.

I bought these stocking holders for my fireplace mantle, but they are so unbalanced that they do not sit on the mantle without anything on the candy cane hook, much less with a stocking on it. They do come with double sided tape, which holds as long as nothing is on the hook. I would not recommend buying these.

I ordered the set of elves. My kids made comments about they were a bit creepy, lol. They have a point.They were well-protected and arrived in good shape. The only thing needed to set them up is to install the candy cane hangers. These consist of the main candy cane shape and then the small end (like a nut that the other end screws into) Simply slip the candy cane into the hole with the metal end sticking up and then twist on the smaller part. My kids were able to install three on their own, but one did not align very well. The hole in which the candy cane should slide into was not a full circle so it would not slide in enough to for the metal end to be fully exposed. It made twisting the smaller part on nearly impossible. I was about to send everything back, but decided one last time to try and force it on carefully. I was able to make it work, but the candy cane is definitely a bit crooked.After getting them assembled, we set them on the mantle in place and hung our stockings. They seemed a bit too light to hold the empty stockings in place. However, there is adhesive on the bottom so I removed the protective layer and stuck them to the mantle. My son later tried to move them and said he was worried he might take paint off the mantle (keep this in mind if you use the adhesive part). I did not check and see if he was right, but it holds well when stuck on, possibly too well. I don't see how it would hold a full stocking without using some type of adhesive though. Other than this issue and some small imperfections, these do the job!

If I could, I would give it zero stars. These do not hold anything they fall off the mantle. My one-year-old was walking under the mantle and one fell and hit her in the top of the head, leaving a massive bruise. It does not even hold a empty stocking

These are so cute but you have to assemble them and I had a problem with one of them. The candy canes are in 2 pieces and they screw together through a hole in the elves hands. One of my canes has a short screw, shown in pic #4. They were all as long as the longer screw except for that one. I checked and none of the elves has a shorter connection area so there’s one down. Luckily I only need 2 for stockings. First though I dropped one of the canes on the tile floor and broke it. These are all ceramic, be careful. Or don’t do this over tile. It can be glued easy but now I’m 2 down so I just stuck regular candy canes in them for now.The figures are ceramic and nicely painted. The colors are bright and clean and they have a shiny gloss. They aren’t very heavy so they have an adhesive strip on the bottom to keep them from falling off the shelf. My non-holding ones make cute decorations and sit nicely on the shelf.Despite the adhesive I don’t think they’re going to take a very heavy stocking before they fall over. We usually load the stockings up so I’m going to have to test it before the night. Those are my only problems though, the unusable cane and they might be too lightweight for our loaded stockings. Everything else is perfect.
