Solid protection
The case holds the phone securely and provides a firm grip when the phone is in use. the various holes are accurately place and so there is no interference to the working of the phone. A worthwhile purchase.

Magnetic latch failure after 5mths use
The magnetic catch holding the cover failed after 5 months use.No return available so at £30 odd it is too expensive so I don't recommend buying itFortunately Toro have now replaced the case which has an improved mechanism for the magnetic catch so it looks as though it shouldn't fail. New one on left

Quality!
Having upgraded my iPhone and always ensuring the investment is properly protected, I ordered a Torro Leather Flip Down case which arrived a couple of days after ordering and apart from that wonderful smell of leather that emanates from the packaging, the case was exactly as described - beautifully finished in tan hide with the Torro logo cut into the front surface. The inner case, in smooth matt black finish, grips the iPhone with such precision that once it's in place, you have no fear of it falling out! Moreover, the clever magnetic "clip" holds the case shut so even if you should drop it, the case will remain shut providing protection for that all too valuable screen.Chosen in tan specifically because the interior of my recently replaced car is all black (and my previous phone was sitting in a black leather case, I did keep leaving it in the car even though the car was telling me to remember to remove my phone!) but now, because it's such a sharp contrast, I am not going to forget to remove it with me when I vacate the car :)If you like a bit of luxury with your phone, you'll go a long way to beat this case for so little, relative outlay.Footnote: May 2020I just swapped my phone for the new iPhone SE as it has the latest chipset aboard in a manageable sized phone and did not hesitate to purchase the Toro Flipdown case to protect it. This time in black with the contrasting red stitching - and it is slightly different to the previous case in that it affords even better protection for the phone all around - brilliant! Worth every penny of your hard earned for something that not just looks good, but does exactly what it says it does!!

Case catch too long
Nice looking case, materials of apparently good quality. Will suit many but not for me that magnetic catch. The closed case top doesn’t sit flat to the glass bc the catch is too long front to back -it creates a sizeable gap at the top that in profile is wedge shaped. Too susceptible to materials entering I’m afraid. Additionally, the width of the catch is too short to prevent the top of the case sliding a lot laterally over the glass. Return in progress.

Smart looking case that’s just a bit different in appearance.
My second Torro vertical flip phone case. Only just started using so can’t assess durability. Can only say the previous one is going strong after 2 years and being used now by another family member. My only reservations about the new case are 1.The leather is coarser grained than the previous version and 2. The volume buttons are a little more difficult to access. A bit more expensive than the average phone case but all in all this is a very smart case that looks a little different to the norm.

Not a perfect fit for price
The magnetic catch could have fitted better to allow cover to fit snug to screen. Not too keen on how logo is displayed

Very disappointing - Old & New Compared
On switching from an old 2016 iPhoneSE to the iPhone 2020SE, a new case was needed. The old Torro SE flip-down case was excellent. Therefore a new Torro case seemed a no brainer. What a mistake. Here is a comparison of the two.Materials: Old case in quality leather with discrete matt metal(?) sides. A good looker. Outlasted the phone. New case has courser grained leather with very cheap looking shiny sides of thin brittle plastic that look set to crack after some use. It looks and feels cheap and nasty. Leather flap is slightly too short and can leave phone edge unprotected.Access to buttons: Old case - parts of sides cut away for easy no-look access. New case - no direct access, you have to press the plastic rather hard to operate the buttons beneath. Try finding the spot to press in poor light. Really bad and frustrating.Charger access - Old case was cut away and plug easily inserted. New case, slot too small and the charger plug needs a hard push to insert it.Magnetic clasp - New case has weaker magnet that allows the flap to wobble from side to side.Smell - New case came with a strong chemical smell that stays to some extent after a few weeks.
