Compact and reliable rice cooker
I bought this CUCKOO rice cooker because I wanted something compact that could make good rice without taking up too much counter space. So far, Iโve been really happy with it. The rice comes out fluffy and evenly cooked, and the fuzzy logic feature makes the cooking process very simple. I especially like the size. Itโs a good option for one or two people or a small household, and I donโt feel like Iโm wasting space with a large rice cooker. The white design is also simple and looks nice in the kitchen. The main downside is that the controls and settings took me a little time to get familiar with, especially compared with a very basic rice cooker. The capacity is also limited, so if you regularly cook large batches of rice, youโll probably want a bigger model. Overall, I think itโs a great everyday rice cooker for a small household. Itโs convenient, cooks rice consistently, and is compact enough for a smaller kitchen. I would definitely recommend it if you donโt need a large capacity.

Great rice cooker I would buy again
Great rice cooker. I have a family of five. So when we eat rice we need a bunch of rice. The size is amazing I make 4 cups of rice usually and I haven't had an issue making rice. I have used it during the peak heat wave to make knorr sides and while slower than traditional boil on the stove it kept my house from over heating and was still easy to clean. The quick cook is great for when I just want rice for myself or me and my husband. It's a smaller foot print than my instant pot. It's sleek in appearance and manages fluctuations in water used pretty well.

If you like rice, this is just terrific!
My first real rice cooker after using stove top and a steamer thing to only cook the famous brand "converted" rice. Which is fine because rice has always been a favorite food. But now I get jasmine and basmati and this thing not only cooks it perfectly like in restaurants, but keeps it warm which is cool. The measuring cup works great. Perfect for even a single serving. Really glad I got it!

BEST rice cooker so far
Iโve tried many different cookers over the years. This one is better in every way. For one, the keep warm function actually keeps warm and doesnโt burn the rice on the bottom. The rice is perfect every time. I use this only for white rice but there are many different cooking options. It even has a self cleaning option! Iโve yet to use it but cleaning by hand is easy. The inner top part of the cooker comes off so itโs a breeze cleaning this thing. Also, anyone that uses rice cookers knows that unless you wash the rice, the excess starch will boil over while it cooks making a mess. Even when the rice is pre-washed this can happen. With this cooker? Hasnโt boiled over once! No mess whatsoever. Granted Iโm only cooking 1-2 cups dry but still. To keep your bowl in great condition I suggest just using a wet napkin or paper towel with some soap as opposed to a sponge. Unless you use very soft sponges. This will keep the nonstick surface like-new. Overall Iโm very satisfied and the price is just right.

Attractive rice cooker, good for solo or couple
My review is based on having used the rice cooker twice (successfully). Upfront - I like the cooker. It looks good if I were to leave it on the counter and cooked my rice nicely. It does have a very springy lid, but thatโs not a deal breaker for me. Iโve have only tried one setting (which is what I usually use the rice cooker for) and it worked great. Lots of button and options on top - try not to get overwhelmed by them. Extended review: I cooked 3 cups (dry) of short grain rice using the White Rice and Quick setting. The rice cooked just fine and the time was about 37 mins. (A little long IMO, but rice was cooked.) I donโt think I could have made 6 cups (dry) in this cooker. I fear that it would take the rice over the top, or at least touching the lid and have uneven cooking. My 3 cups already went beyond the halfway mark on the pot. I made 2 batches of 3 cups of rice for my dinner party, but for just me this rice cookerโs size is just fine. I left the rice in the pot on the warm setting and it indicated a time after a while so I know how long it was sitting warmed. Not sure if it has an auto off setting - need to read the manual more. I also need to see how to remove the moisture capture cap in the back since it didnโt easily slide out. I like that the top of the inner lid can be removed for cleaning. Wish it had a holder for the rice paddle.

Great upgrade without spending $500+
My old $40 rice cooker had a badly scratched insert, so I decided to upgrade to something more versatile without spending $500+. I chose the 6-cup Cuckoo for our family of four and itโs been the perfect size. After a couple months and around 20 uses, Iโve made everything from regular rice to higher-protein/fiber blends with white rice, pearled barley, quinoa, lentils and black pearl rice. Everything has turned out great, and I love having so many different settings to experiment with. Cleaning is incredibly easy. I hand wash the nonstick insert with a soft sponge and it takes seconds to wipe clean. The coating still looks perfect, and I really appreciate that replacement inserts are available. The only downsides are that it is a little bigger and it does take a little longer to cook than my old basic rice cooker, but the results and added versatility are worth it to me. For me, this is the perfect middle ground between a basic rice cooker and the really expensive models. Very happy with the upgrade!

Cooks rice well, but a few caveats to beware
Iโll start by saying this cooks, warms, and reheats rice perfectly. From a functionality perspective, this cooker is fantastic. A little pricey, but great. All of that said, I want to echo a lot of what the other reviews said. Itโs pretty massive, so for storage purposes of something thatโs frequently used, make sure you have plenty. If you ever open it underneath a cabinet, be very careful. The lid is extremely spring loaded and shoots up fast. I dinged my cabinet the other day. We are a family of 4 and typically donโt ever need more than two cups of rice. We love the cookerโs finished product, but it seems like overkill. Unless you exclusively eat rice as a family of 6, you probably donโt need something this big. Lastly and probably most importantly, itโs extremely important that you let the inner parts dry out after every use. Itโs very easy to disassemble via embedded clips, but the steam and condensation produce somewhat relevant accumulation of water after each use. If you let this stagnant water sit over months at a time, youโll be steaming your rice in mold. Just beware that a smaller cooker is probably sufficient for the average family.

Love it
Works great, instructions are clear and it's very easy to use after reading manual. Homemade rice has never tasted better. And it doesn't take up much space, after use when all the pieces are clean, they all fit back inside the unit.

A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for
I've owned a cheap rice cooker before which ended up malfunctioning. Been cooking rice in a pressure cooker for the past year and finally decided to get a new dedicated rice cooker to save me some time, so I decided to pick this one up as it's a reputable brand and had good reviews. I was a bit apprehensive about the price, but took a gamble. It might be the best kitchen appliance I've ever owned, and I don't say that lightly. - Cooks rice literally perfectly. No charring or burning/browning (using the sticky option), super evenly cooked. You can add your rice and set it to cook, go run a marathon or forget about it all day, and when you come back your rice is perfectly hot, ready to eat, and not burned one bit. I feel pampered. - Haven't experimented too much with multicook but it did make daal just fine, as well as some stew. The re-heat feature is also pretty neat and you can toss in your old, cold rice or curries and it warms it all up ready to eat in 10 minutes. - It is so easy to clean. All the important parts detach and let you rinse them, so you can keep this looking brand new and tidy with ease. This might be my favourite thing about it honestly. The rice dish doesn't even need soap, just rinse with water and a soft sponge and wipe dry. - Aesthetically speaking, it looks really nice so it'll fit right into any kitchen and doesn't take up much space either. FYI, you do need a large high power plug point for this. I live alone and cook about 2-2.5 cups of rice everyday and this is perfect for me.
