I was worried about this yeast coming from a large warehouse. But this yeast is wonderful! I have used it numerous times since I received it and, WOW, it is fresh and a very good yeast! You will not be at all disappointed in the performance of Red Star Yeast! I put my yeast in a dry, tight, plastic, container with the date I bought it and then into an extra refrigerator where I store items that need refrigeration. I believe Red Star is as good as you are going to work with! It makes beautiful yeast breads!

One of the three packages had a clear hole in it and the yeast was spilling out. It was also completely dead. BEWARE! This item cannot be returned even though it arrived damaged. Whatever happened to quality control?

What a great price on yeast! Can't believe I've been spending $5 for 4oz in the store! Now I'm spending $0.83 shipped for the same volume and I don't have to make a trip to the store! Customer for life!

I bought a 3 pack b/c of great price advantage. Price has increased $2+ since so it is not such a good deal. A 2 pounder last me a year. I the other 2 to my 2 daughters for pizza making.

I used this yeast to make homemade bread and love this product.
