That the picture on the can reveals whole sea urchin, when indeed it is just a liquid drink. Very very disappointing

Definitely an acquired taste. Straight out the can it wasn't very good. Maybe someone who knows how to prepare it might make it shine.

I imagine draining the water from a can of tuna and mixing it with play dough would taste like this.

What you get is an assortment of small pieces, not the large pieces you’d expect to see at a sushi bar. The flavor is still good. I recommend serving it over a bowl of hot rice.

With high hope, I received the Chilean sea urchin on Jan 5. Sad is that “Best Before” was Jan 11, 2025. Just 6 days before the beginning of the decline of the freshness of the canned urchins. Amazon should not allow such brief windows of soundness or freshness. Geomar has to comply with American, even international standards of freshness. No return policy from this product indicates the sellers knew exactly the reason for the fast dumping. AGS
