What are the technical differences between the SunFounder Mega 2560 and the Arduino Mega 2560?

Sunfounder is the company that makes the board, the name of the HW platform is Arduono. If they are both Mega they are the same, you should check the revision in the details to confirm, the Mega I bought is a R3 Mega. There is also an Arduino Yun and it has Wifi built in, the Mega does not you need to buy a shield separately that costs about 75$.

I purchased the Mega kit. However, I did not receive the free tutorials and the project code. How can I get these materials?

My kit had a small booklet and a small CD with all the code, instructions, and a PDF of the manual. We've completed about half of the demos and except for a few small typos in the manual, it's been working great.

Is the physical size and hole placement the same as the Arduino brand?

Yes, same size. I compared it to a friend's Arduino Uno from Arduino.

Can I use my arduino books with the Sunfounder mega? Or will the projects not work right with this board?
