Memories of a day at the beach
I am unable to assign any stars on the use of this product as I have not used it other than in an experimental way. I originally bought this semolina for dusting the Italian bread I was hoping to bake. I had never used semolina before but, as I was making a batch of sweet pastry, I added 50g of coarse semolina; thinking to make it a more crumbly and hence a more interesting pastry, however, when it was cooked it was sadly horribly gritty and I was reminded of, when as a child, eating sandwiches on a day out at the beach - it was a failed experiment but it had nothing to do with the quality of the product. Maybe the Italians use a finer grade?
