Hi I don’t want to use the holes for the trucks with this, is there any way I can rest the deck horizontally on these to display the deck?

You don’t want to use the holes at all? If you wanted to mount laterally, you could buy 2 mounts and screw them into the wall vertically. Then screw into your top and bottom skateboard holes.

What's the max weight the hanger can support?

I hang a standard skateboard deck which is what they are intended for. The deck sits off the wall a bit, essentially putting strain on the screws, if that makes sense. The further out, the more strain on the mount. Maybe it would tolerate as much weight as a long board? BIG maybe. I would likely mount two (top and bottom) if I was going to try that. In summary, I wouldn’t (personally) do more that a standard deck. Hope this helps.

Do i need to drill it into a stud in the wall?

Its not necessary to drill it into a stud, You can drill it on a regular wall without problem.

Do you recommend putting one at the top and the bottom of the skateboard? Or just the top?

Just one at the top works well if hanging vertically. If horizontally, I recommend two.
