Readable Introduction to the New Testament
Professor Kelly has written an easily readable and up-to-date introduction to the New Testament. He provides a scholarly explication of each book in what most current biblical theologians believe is their correct chronological order, beginning with the seven Pauline letters most believe are authentically his. He keeps the technical jargon to a minimum, but defines the most important terms as he uses them. Thus, it leaves the reader with a feeling of how the New Testament was composed and for whom, and provides a good basis for understanding our beliefs in the light of the teachings of Jesus and his earliest followers. An excellent bibliography provides the interested reader with more advanced sources of information.

Kelly Does it Again!
Kelly has provided a wonderful resource for true bible study. This particular Kelly book, an Intro to the New Testament, is good for Individuals, meetings and groups. I think it would well being geared to people whose scripture exposure is limited only to the liturgical readings they hear in mass. This particular book is geared towards that demographic. Very good.

Don't use Kindle for textbooks!
Although this is an excellent book, don't purchase the Kindle version for use as a textbook! I made that mistake and I'll never do it again! When my instructor assigns certain pages for reading, I am unable to locate them because Kindle doesn't use page numbers, only electronic locations. I also find it cumbersome to make notes and highlights. I'll go back to the real thing for class from now on!I never get rid of my books, so I don't mind underlining and writing in them...

clear
Relatively clear and understandable for someone with no real understanding of the New Testament - bought it for a class and really feel that it helped my understanding.
