LEGOSpeed Champions Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0 75888 Building Kit (391 Pieces) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

If you like the rest of the Speed Champions line, this one will not disappoint. I am sure it was a tall order to recreate the iconic Porsche 911 in LEGO bricks, but they certainly accomplished that feat.This set comes with the classic Porsche 911 with the big spoiler off the back, and simple wheels of the time. The interior is brown and tan. This is a street car, unlike most of the Speed Champions that are race cars. The build is a lot of fun. It is not too difficult to put together. There are some stickers for this one, but a lot less than the massive amounts that come on the race cars. I don't think the stickers are totally necessary, except for the back window stickers. The rest add some nice details to the front bumper and the emblem on the hood.The 911 RSR had a similar feel in the build to the classic 911. The two builds are different, but there are some parts that seem close, so you know they are from the same stable of cars. If you have other Speed Champions race cars, this will feel pretty familiar at this point. The build, like the 911 is very straight forward, with easy to follow directions and nothing too crazy in the directions.Finally there is a guy with a time board, and a wall that has a display with the lap count. There is some fun playability there. I like how the brick can be spun on top to change the lap number. Even the board the guy holds has a changing sign too.Of course there is always good playability with cars. Add in some classic looks, and these make great display pieces too. Fans of classic Porsche models will really like to display this 911. It has the right look, and everyone will know what it is, and marvel at the fine details that make it instantly recognizable.

My daughter and I have been completing Lego Speed Champions for some time and enjoyed this kit. We really like the kits with two cars as she completes one as I do the other. Good bonding and she is inheriting my love of cars!The kit has the right amount of pieces. Not too many to feel overwhelmed and not too little to get bored. Both Porsches have good detail and the bricks hold well enough to play with afterwards. Nice additional to our collection!

The set wasn’t too difficult for 6 year old. The only real thing he needed help with was the stickers. Overall I would rate this as a good value LEGO set!

Great set for a great price. LEGO Speed Champions is an under appreciated theme! Fast build and scale appropriate. Hate the stickers but what can you do? Get it before it is retired and you have to pay double or triple on the secondary market!

You just cant go wrong with lego cars !!

Our 9-year-old grandson has been playing with Legos since he was a toddler. His parents have turned two walls in his bedroom into "lego boards" and had a giant Lego table installed in his playroom. He and his brothers and parents spent a month in Italy this past summer and one of his highlights was visiting the huge Lego store and museum in Rome. We generally don't purchase Lego for him as a gift, he has so many kits and collections, I would most certainly get a duplicate. His birthday sneaked up on me this year and I took the chance and ordered this kit for him. When he opened it, he exclaimed, "Thank you Gramma and Grandpa, I saw this in Rome! I didn't know you could get this in America!" I don't know who was more delighted, him or us!

A nice little play set for the Porsche fan or the kids who can’t ever get enough LEGO. The kit is easy to build and includes some cool special pieces to give the cars just the right look. The other included figures and accessories make this a fun play or display set. There’s enough to play with that it makes a good gift for someone who likes Porsche but is otherwise not too into LEGO or for kids who like creative and fun toys.

Fantastic Lego set. The Lime Green Porsche in particular is a must have for any Porsche collector! Leave the stickers off of the white one and it looks quite classy as well!! Really a neat racing set for children and adults alike! Well done Lego!
