Adar Universal Unisex Lab Coats - Classic 39" Lab Coat

Nice coat; measurements for size 40 to help with sizing
Nice purchase; hard to find colored lab coats. It is a saturated, deep blue. Seems sturdy; fabric is not lightweight but not too heavy. Sizing was really confusing to figure out, so I will detail some of the measurements for my coat. Unisex sizing is the same as the men's size chart (you can see it if you click on the "Visit the Adar Uniforms Store" link at the top of the listing). I bought a size 40 and it is 21" from armpit to armpit (x2=42" circumference chest). Roomy enough for 37" chest to wear with winter clothes underneath. After I washed it and put it in the dryer, it did not seem to shrink much at all; still 42" chest, and it shrunk maybe 0.5" in length. The pockets are not super small as another reviewer suggested, but maybe not big enough different tools: 7" deep; 6.5" wide. The front pockets start 17" from the top of the shoulder, or 8.5" down from the armpit. The side slit for pants pocket access starts about 1" below the front pocket and is about 5" long. This is fine for me, but I am 5'3". Hope that helps people.

Good Variance without sacrificing results.
This product actually surprised me. I was expecting the fabric to be thin, colors to not look right and the manufacturing to be abysmal. While the buttons are a bit looser than I would prefer, this is actually pretty good quality. I got the steel gray and it actually looks somewhat metallic in person. The coat is comfortable, and while it isn't waterproof, few lab coats I've used are.Highly proficient manufacturing for the price, would recommend for casual wear or use in a workplace environment.

To great, my coworker stole it!
I'm a mortician and got really sick of donning a surgical gown when performing minor procedures in the prep room. So, in 2018 I bought this lab coat. I was very satisfied... although, the belt in the back was a bit loose, so I cinched it to where it was comfy and fit, and stitched it in place to hold it horizontal - it was perfect. This is lightweight enough that I don't sweat while working (one of the worst things about surgical gowns), but still durable. Looks nice enough with my French cuffs and tie that I don't worry about families seeing me when I walk out of the prep room... I'm comfortable at least making quick runs out to my office, but it is not a replacement for my suit jacket. The thing is, one of my coworkers started admiring it on a Monday, on Friday it vanished from the prep room, and when I saw it again (2 weeks later), my coworker's name was embroidered over the pocket. He swears he bought his own, but the belt is stitched the way mine was...At any rate, I've lived without it for a while now but I can't go on without it. Every embalmer should have a black lab coat!! I'm buying my second one to replace the one that was too awesome for my coworker to resist. This time, I'm getting my name embroidered over the pocket to dissuade any of my other coworkers!!

Works great as a painting smock!
I love this! I wear it when I’m painting and don’t want to stain my clothes.

size fits just right
Although it was difficult to determine what size to order (the size chart does not correlate to sizes offered when ordering), by reading through other buyer's comments, I was able to guess which size I should order. The lab coat fits well, seems to be well made, and even has an extra button.

Looks: GREAT! - Practicality: POOR
The good:I bought one of these in black. It fits well despite some reviews stating that it runs small. I found it to fit quite well (I bought a 40 and wear a medium T-shirt). It’s flattering. Slimming. And my co-workers can’t stop admiring it.The bad:The pockets are too shallow, too narrow, and too high. These front pockets are only about 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep. You cannot throw a stethoscope in one easily. You can’t really hold a reflex hammer or anything of length for fear of it falling out. And they are much higher than a traditional lab coat. You cannot comfortably place your hands in them. It feels awkward. And the cutouts that let your hands pass through are also way too high. You can’t really grab things out of your pants through these cutouts. The buttons are much too small for a lab coat and the button holes too tight for quick on-off. It’s like buttoning a dress shirt, stiff. Material is a touch stiff but I like that. Picks up lint very easily. But nothing 20 seconds with a lint roller can’t fix.The verdict:Generally speaking it’s a nice looking coat and at a good price point. But it has numerous practical flaws. Won’t be returning it. But won’t be buying any more.

unacceptable lab coat
This item runs extremely small, the fabric is stiff and heavy and the gray color is a blue-ish gray, not as pictured.

Buen producto, tela delgada...
Es una buena bata, esteticamente agradable y de un buen largo y ajuste, aunque la tela de la misma es un poco delgada, espero sea resistente a largo plazo,

UNISEX = Male
The fabric is a high quality weight and the coat is well constructed. My only issue with all 'unisex' clothing is that 'unisex' actually means 'man shaped'. In this case, the coat is quite straight, which for me, means even though it's slightly large in the shoulders, it's a bit snug through the hips when fully closed. I recommend 'unisex' clothing generally allow for a little more hip room, since this shouldn't pose a problem for people with a straight shape and would be better for those of us who are not shaped like an average man.

Good quality.
I work in a lab with chemicals that stain easily, this lab coat is very comfortable while being made of a material that is easy to wash and kerp clean. Overall great product and i would definitely recommend.
