You need to add about 8-10 mm to internal measurements to get true height, which creates its own trip hazard. Plus the upper edge is relatively sharp, so easy to catch when walking over it.

Good item for those wires you need protection very strong and sturdy would recommend it to anyone

Got this to reduce the tripping risk in my garage/workshop when using an extension cable. It's internal walls stand up to walking on with no trouble and the sloping edges have a bright yellow trim to make it easier to see. Unless you have a plug that can be removed from your cable you'l need to slit the bottom of the channel to get the cable in. As stated in the description on the Amazon web site, these are for interior use only. The sticky on the bottom of the strip will stick to a smooth surface like vinyl flooring (maybe even tiles) but is no use for rough surfaces like concrete or flags. I used a few daps of epoxy and that secures everything fine.

Just what I needed. I've got a toddler and needed to run an ethernet cable from my mesh unit to another PC in my office as the WiFi speeds were just awful. I didn't want anything on the floor that would pose a trip hazard to the little one and so I though this cable protector would be ideal. It stops the cable getting damaged but also stops my little one tripping over it and smash the router / mini PC in the process.Fair price, good quality design and love the stick fixed on the base even though I haven't used them on this application.

Rubber cable cover.It'll work great if you're sticking it down I suppose, but not as supple as I expected, a bit plastic like, rather than supple rubber. I've loosley laid it down to try and flatten it over time, maybe a bit of heat is best.I got this for when I'm hoovering the car and the supply cable crosses a foot path, so I'll have to wait until it loses its coiled memory.

The 2m rubber cover strip arrived rolled in a spiral which straightens up easily. The strip is not as heavy as I was expecting, the rubber is around 2.5mm thick with two internal vertical walls making a conduit down the centre of the cover and providing some rigidity. Two self adhesive strips run along the base of the cover. Two bright yellow stripes run along the cover which will make its presence on the ground more obvious.The rubber is quite soft and flexible, so I would restrict its use to light pedestrian traffic only. To feed the cable into the cover I will need to use a knife to cut along the centre line of the cover. Apart from the extra work, this may impact the rigidity of the cover and the two sides of the cut base will no longer form a water tight barrier.I am quite happy this rubber cable cover will allow me to safely run a mains cable across my garden path, and I will not need to use the adhesive strip.

Needed something to cover my campers electric cable on the drive, was sick of tripping over the cable with it moving around and not being able to see it 100% on the drive. The protector as delt with all the problems at once, so really happy with it and a must have item.The rubber cover comes unopened, so all you have to do it cut along the bottom with either scissors or a knife to the size that you need. It measures 50mm x 14mm, so you can get 1 power sized cord or 2 thinner ethernet cables. It seems to have strong adhesive tape underneath, so should bond well to the surface that you need it too. It as a bright yellow warning line down both sides, so when I come in at night with my dog my head torch picks up the yellow lines.Overall I great item to have to hand for lots of different uses, I would recommend :)

The cable protector is thinner than I expected but still works fairly well for our EV charger cable on the driveway to avoid trips and slips.
